Cozy peaceful cabin at 8,000 ft. elevation near Zion National Park. 2.5 miles from Kolob Reservoir, 1.5 miles from the West Rim trailhead in Zion.
This is a quaint cabin that is very well kept. It is our family cabin that we use as a retreat to get out of the heat and to enjoy the mountains. It has a wrap around deck and there are two steps to get up on the deck and in the cabin. The cabin has a main floor with one bedroom, one bathroom, and a kitchen and living area and then an upstairs sleeping loft with a bathroom. The water system is from a well and is cold and clear and drinkable. The power is all SOLAR and so you do have to use some discretion in conserving energy. The power is good, but if there is no sun then the batteries only store about three days of power. We have never ran out, but we try to be careful. Cell service for your phones is sketchy up on the mountain, but if you have Verizon and stand on the front deck you can make and receive calls and texts. Internet access is not available (so you can truly be away and enjoy the trip)! The stove, oven, fridge, water heater, and fireplace all operate on propane. They all work well, other than the fridge is not the coldest and will keep things from spoiling, but you might want to bring a cooler to keep drinks cold.

Either way, you will be totally on your own at the cabin and have the place to yourself!
