Such a pretty cottage beautifully furnished throughout and with a fabulous view to the coast and Cromer lighthouse from the first floor terrace.
Providence Cottage is a Victorian mid terrace cottage located in a quiet residential lane on the outskirts of Cromer, just a short walk away from the centre of the town and its beautiful beach. The cottage has great understated, and rather chic, charm with a very calming and considered decor, with some splashes of beautiful fabrics and wallpaper, all complemented by the artworks of a local contemporary artist with a distinctive style. This is a perfect romantic bolt hole for a couple or two, but equally suitable for a small family with older children. The icing on the cake is the fabulous first floor terrace, with wonderful open views across to the coast in the far distance - just take a seat here and soak up that view, perhaps enjoy a lazy breakfast or share a bottle of wine as the sun goes down.
There is gas central heating throughout the cottage.
Open plan Sitting Room with Dining Area
A relaxing space with ample comfortable seating set around log burner to keep you extra cosy in cooler months, and TV with Freesat and DVD player to enjoy. There is a dining table and chairs at the far end of room, where there is also a desk and chair.
A well-equipped and rather glamorous galley style kitchen with electric cooker with fan oven and induction hob, fridge with icebox, slimline dishwasher and washing machine. A door leads out into a pathway and garden beyond.
With large shower cubicle, washbasin, towel rail and WC.
Steep stairs with shallow tread and handrail lead to
King Size Bedroom
A spacious bedroom to the front of the cottage with bedside tables and lamps, double wardrobe and dressing table.
Twin Bedroom with doorway to Terrace
With adult size single beds, bedside table, lamp and chest of drawers and view to the coast. Step outside and there is a large terrace with table and chairs and glazed panel enclosure enabling you to have the best, uninterrupted view down to the coast and Cromer lighthouse. A lovely place to sit at any time of the day.
There is roadside parking available immediately outside the cottage, on a first come first served basis, but this is a quiet road, and there should always be parking availability. The garden is to the rear of the cottage. Here there is a pathway that leads to a small paved area, with steps down to the enclosed garden, which is mostly laid to lawn. There is a right of way along the top path, outside the cottage, for refuse collection.
Cromer has retained its seaside charm and was recently voted one of the best coastal towns in the UK to both live and take a holiday. All year around there is something to do, whether its spend days on the beach, play golf, walk the North Norfolk coastal path to Sheringham or Overstrand and beyond, go see a show at the Pier (the last remaining Pier with a theatre), enjoy the annual Christmas firework spectacular, watch the fishermen come in with their daily catch, and sample some of the best fish and chips around or a sweet Cromer Crab. There are fabulous places to eat both in town and close by, and the National Trust properties at Felbrigg Hall, Blicking and Sheringham Park are only a short drive away.
With one of the largest property portfolios along the North Norfolk Coast of any of the local agents, Norfolk Hideaways provides a friendly, professional service both to our guests who benefit from a flexible booking service and our valued home owners who we work closely with to maintain the standard of our holiday homes.
