Even though my trip started with a big chaos, Jennifer was great how she dealed with it. When I got to her place, I already felt very comfortable. She is a great host, so that you feel like home. Too bad that I couldn't stay longer. The house is a fairy tale with a lot of cute animals in it. And the bed was more than comfortable. When I come back to L.A., I will stay with her again!

Jennifer was an absolute pleassure to have met. I'm very happy about my stay. The homelyness in the house was exactly what I wanted. I didn't want it to feel like a hotel. There is amazing furniture everywhere and your own room is very personal. Getting to talk with the guests and Jennifer was a very nice addition to my stay. Jennifer is funny and very communicative. I would come back!

Jennifer is simply the best. Her place is great. I really felt welcome and comfortable throughout my stay. Location is convenient, plus easy parking on the street. I was able to walk to work every day which was amazing. The house is peaceful and I really enjoyed hanging out with the dogs every day. Jennifer is so kind and accommodating. We had some wonderful conversations. I'll definitely be staying here again in the future. Thank you so much!

Jennifer is a friendly, communicative host that is ready to help with issues. Her house is a historic 1923 home that still has the charm of its day. The neighborhood is a nice, quiet residential street on the edge of Korea town and Mid-city area. Great location. Central to all of LA's tourist attractions. She does rent out three rooms, the yellow room is the only room on the first floor, and off of the kitchen. However, the bathroom for all guests is on the second floor. Some issues did come up with appliances in the house during my trip. Times to do laundry became restricted as the machines are located in a studio that is also rented out (not airbnb) to an individual, and for those that don't know commercial laundry means laundry-mat still machines that require payment to use. The functionality of the vintage gas stove also came up for others. As mentioned in her listings she does have two dogs, and dogs do what dogs do, they have a tendency to bark, particularly when Jennifer is not at home. Noise from the kitchen radio may be an issue for others, as it can get turned up to hear in other rooms of the house. If noise is an issue, would highly suggest one of Jennifer's other, larger, slightly more expensive rooms up stairs. Overall, I did enjoy my stay here. Jennifer is a good host, and the location is great.

Antwort von Jennifer:
Reading Angela's review, I can see that she needed to live alone as she needed solitude and complete quiet to study and do her Master papers. I spoke with the other guests and discovered that she put her head down when spoken to, to everyone, not just me. In a household of people, it's common courtesy to say "Good Morning" to your fellow housemates. But as she required absolute silence and solitude, it was clear that his place was not a good choice. I understood she would use the Library to study at UCLA. She rented the Yellow Room which is off the kitchen. There's lots of action in this household, dance/pilates students pass the Yellow room to the studio, daily. There are animals, dogs and a cat who are family members, who use the doggy door by the Yellow Room, too. I offered a room upstairs but Angela preferred to stay in the Yellow Room. All rooms rent at approximately $40.00 a night, long term. Dogs. They bark always when there is a commotion, whether I am in residence or not. That's why I have dogs. Their noise is a deterrent. Laundry. There is a commercial washer/dryer in the studio which is fast and efficient, replacing the washer/dryer set, that was broken repeatedly by guests who choose to do upwards of ten loads of laundry at a time! Repeated overloading finally destroyed them. Laundry Time - Available every day of the week from 8.00am to 6.00pm. The other non airbnb tenant works 7 days a week, leaves the studio before 8.00am and returns by 6.30pm I heard from him that Angela would leave her dry clothes in the dryer and would get them after he got back, in spite of my repeated requests to finish laundry by 6.00pm EVERY DAY of the week. NPR Radio is always on after 8.00am, another deterrent. Angela needed silence, but she never spoke directly to me about any of these issues. Bugs. We have Western Exterminator come in monthly, to manage ants, fleas, spiders, indoor and out. Yes, every so often bugs do get into the house, but this is a common occurrence in EVERY household in LA. Floors, and carpet (in my private area, not a public space) are vacuumed every second day, and dusted twice daily because LA is very dusty and the dogs always shed. (This is why I insist that guests who stay here, have grown up with dogs, otherwise they are a decline) My old abandoned rescue animals are a very important loyal, loving part of my family here. Stove. The stove is a gas stove and works fine. It has a pilot light, that was sometimes blown out by other tenants who weren't familiar with using a gas stove. However I am always available to assist if anyone has any questions. Gardner. The gardner has been coming weekly for the past 90 years around 8.00-8.30am. They always mow, blow and go. That's what they do. Again, Angela required utter silence. I get it and I'm sorry she had so many private issues. Communication is always the key. Odors. I pick up the dog poop in the morning and in the evening, like clockwork. I also sweep, use second hand water to wash down the patio and cement area leading to the studio, twice daily . Appearance/ cleanliness is everything. Also my mother was Swiss, so it's in my DNA to do this. Anything else. Yes, Bathrooms; There are three on site, but I had all the females use the one upstairs while Angela was here. I had one that I keep for myself, and the male tenant had one. No one is permitted to leave anything personal in the bathrooms. Sometimes women leave their hair in the drain. (If women have long hair, they are also a decline). They are required to leave the bathroom clean for the next guest, and I check again twice a day, to see that it is spotless. That is why I have Superhost status. It takes diligence, consistency, charm, warmth, compassion and most of all, listening to the guest's requirements. I'm sorry Angela had a rough time. If she had of communicated a bit more, she may have had a more enjoyable stay. If you got this far, thank you, and now you know. The end!!

I've spent few nights in Jennifer 's quirky house on the edge of Koreatown. The host was very friendly and helpful and her house just as described. Good place to be on my first trip to LA. The neighbourhood was quiet and safe with an easy access to the public transport which was very convenient for me.
