There was absolutely no miscommunication on my part. Marissa requested "Happy Valley Luxury" requesting 3 bedrooms for 6 people. This is exactly what she would have received. The second floor is a separate listing, "happy Valley Getaway", as clearly explained in the description. The 2nd level is totally cut off and accessible from a entirely different entry. When asked if the home was open I replied that it was due to no booking of the 2nd level at that time. Even if the 2nd floor was not occupied Marissa would not have access, nor would the 1st level be accessible. from the other renters, Marissa knew this. When I informed her the 2nd floor had a booking request she was upset that someone else would occupy the 2nd level. The bottom line from my observation, her plan was to pay only for the first floor but use the entire house. Very deceitful on her part. Talk about dishonest!!
I have learned that there are people that attempt to manipulate the program to take advantage of any opportunity, Melissa is one of those people. Word of (Website hidden by Airbnb) honest about your intentions and don't attempt to beat the system, it will catch up with you. As a matter of record, AirBnb informed me my listing was clear and descriptive in what was included.
Marissa, for your own good, don't try to take advantage of any AirBnb host as this creates issues for you and the entire AirBnb program.
