Our home is located in the village of Aymanam, the setting for the book 'God of Small Things'. A boat can be arranged to move around the backwaters to experience the great local cuisine, wildlife and different sights of Vembanad Lake. I've hosted guests (on Airbnb) in Texas, USA for over 2 years and enjoy all aspects of hosting travelers. Being an avid traveler myself, I will do my best to ensure a smooth experience.
Our house is on a 1 acre property, with a river on one side. A lot of the outside property is used for farming bananas, jackfruit, coconuts, nutmeg, pineapple, and other fruits and vegetables. The house has mosquito nets and is pest control treated. There is a full functional kitchen, and can make use of homegrown bananas, papayas, peppers, turmeric, coconut grating etc. We also source our milk from our local farmers, which we use for cereal, chai at home.
