Situated in the West End of Edinburgh, directly opposite the landmark building of Donaldson’s College in the exclusive area of West Coates.

The property is part of a large traditionally built Victorian style house and it benefits from a front garden and large walled back garden.

Being close to the West End there are many top quality restaurants nearby catering for all tastes from French to Italian, Thai to Japanese and all cuisines in between. As well as fine dining experiences there are many bars, shops and designer boutiques in close proximity. All the famous museums, galleries and theatres are accessible by walking, taxi or public transport, a choice of buses run every few minutes from a bus stop just across the road.

The centrally heated apartment consists of a dining hall, an American style fully fitted kitchen with all mod/cons including gas hob, oven, grill, fridge and microwave. The large lounge has the benefit of Freeview TV, a DVD player, stereo/ radio and Wi-Fi connection. The Sofa converts to form a double bed for those extras guests and for additional comfort there is a real flame gas fire for those cooler evenings. The dining hall leads to the fully tiled bathroom which has a bath with shower, WC and wash hand basin, as well as a washing machine and freezer. The attractive double bedroom also has a wall mounted Freeview TV and a back door leading to a small balcony with stairs to the large walled back garden.

Our family stayed 4 nights (2 adults and a 2 years old child) . The landlord was responsive and quickly reachable by phone. There was a teddy bear and toilet seat for my child. The house is spacious, with garden and central heating. We would recommend this place to a friend.

An absolutely super option for travel with children. Close enough to city center with a lovely backyard shared with kind, fun, generous neighbors.

Location, central, convenient, traditional, perfect flat. Spent twelve days at this wonderful flat. Everything we could have wanted was provided. Linens were changed midway through our stay. Beautiful gardens to look at. Bathroom and bedroom were good sizes and having a living room to relax and enjoy in an evening was a plus. Even the bookcase was stocked with great books. Perfect location with Haymarket tram stop, and mainline station just a few 100 yards down the road and bus stops even closer with direct buses to Princes Street and the Royal Mile, not to mention the tram goes all the way to the airport. Tesco Express, Marks and Spencer's Simply Food, and Sainsbury's Local all quite close by for groceries. Will definitely be back.

Appartement bien situé. On peut se rendre au centre-ville ou dans la vielle ville en marchant ou en autobus très facilement. Idéal pour un petit séjour.

Tipica casa accogliente britannica con tutto il necessario per un confortevole viaggio. Pulita, spazi adeguati e un letto matrimoniale veramente comodo! L'ubicazione è perfetta per esplorare la città di Edimburgo sia a piedi (10 minuti) che con i mezzi (fermate del bus di fronte alla casa). John è stato veramente gentile e disponibile, aiutandoci sempre in modo a dir poco tempestivo. Consiglio vivamente la casa di John se siete interessati a vivere Edimburgo nel modo migliore! Assolutamente consigliato!

Great apartment, ideally located for the stadium, the Zoo and a few bus stops away from the centre. We would stay there again.
