I would like to set the record straight on this review. We are a hotel, and thus we require a credit card and some form of ID for security, as any reputable hotel would do. This guest refused to give that information. Which is understandable over the phone, but then the guest stated over the phone that they would not give that information in person either. Any other hotel would have denied access to a room, but we made the exception for this guest.
I'm confused about the smell of wet dog, as I had 3 separate people go in that unit the next day, and they stated it did not smell anything of the sort. and Furthermore the last dog in that unit was over a month before this guest, and 5 other guests had been in the unit since then, with 0 complaints. In any case, we are sorry about the wet dog smell, but since we are a hotel, I would have been more than happy to move you to a different room, had you utilized the after hours number that is posted on our front door. That number goes directly to my after-hours phone, and I would have gladly helped out and put you in a room that you would have been satisfied with.
I hope this puts the review into perspective for anyone else viewing this. We host hundreds of Airbnb guests per year, with 95% of those visits being 4-5 star reviews.
