A fully outfitted, self-catering cottage studio is adjacent to the remodeled dairy barn. Only a few minutes from downtown Lexington, resturants, shopping, AT trailhead, BlueRidge Pkwy, VA Horse Ctr, Natural Bridge plus many others. Beautiful vistas.
We are definitely not your hotel experience! This space is best suited for 2 adults though sometimes a 3rd can be added. The land is magical with some lovely walks just across the road along some of the river plus walks on our adjacent property of 220 acres. A modern day labyrinth was just completed last year on the highest hilltop on farm with 360 degree views over 8 counties.

You will have use of the 65 ft vine covered pergola, the chimenea (a reasonable amount of wood provided); the Creamery 'Hideaway' directly behind your studio; the Cozy & the meditation garden. The Lodge itself is not part of this rental. If there is an event happening while you are there we ask that you honor their use of the grounds that they have rented. The Cozy, Hideaway & Garden would still be open for your enjoyment. This accommodation is part of a 250 acre farm. You are invited to walk up to hilltop labyrinth for a drop-jaw 360 degree vista of both mountain ranges & the Geometries of Love sculptures inside the labyrinth. Ask us for access directions.

We offer a 'self catered' retreat space with fully outfitted spaces, family style toiletries, linens, towels, toilet paper & paper towels. We will not meet you unless you need us or meet us on our land while we are enjoying it :) Our farm home is directly across courtyard from The Creamery & we are a phone call away. An information packet will be picked up at our Lexington-in-town home only 5 miles away.

You will need to be comfortable with the dark as we do our best to be good country neighbors. There are few lights & are turned off at night. The area is safe & the neighbors are here for the same reason we are: quiet, beauty, good people! NOTE: accommodation taxes are included in the pricing.
We expect our guests to honor the space, the land & our neighbors. All smoking is outdoors & disposed of properly so that it is not a fire danger. Everything on property is wood so we highly encourage conscious disposal. If chimera or fire pit is used please stay until wood it is completely burned & screen lid is put in place... a common wood fire request. We ask guests to leave the space as they found it & to remove sheets/pillow cases from bed & gather towels, wash, dry & return dishes used. Other than that our house rule is to return home happy, full relaxed & with desire to come back very soon :)

I am currently a co-owner/co-operator of a vacation cabin & event facility on 250 acres in the Shenandoah Valley of Virginia. It is amazingly beautiful here. My husband & I moved here after several decades in Sausalito/Sebastopol CA & 6 yrs sailing & living aboard our deep sea sailing vessel. I love water, mountains, the natural environment, travel, good restaurants & fun coffee shops. I am totally intrigued with sacred geometry, design sculptures, facilitate workshops, have had & continue to have a colorful, incredible career & life path. Life is more than good!!
