First of all, we are glad that James and his family have had a fantastic time in our villa. As he mentioned, the villa provides fabulous views, tranquility, and privacy. The property is c (Phone number hidden by Airbnb) m2 and the villa is 200 m2 which guarantees a comfortable and private vacation, not to mention the private swimming pool and the private garage: large area and one will need a few minutes to figure out where all things are.
It was a shame that we could not welcome James and his family personally and show them around and show them how to use all the amenities ourselves. But Jimmy has done these on our behalf and we were available whenever James had any questions.
Maybe James and his family have a different standard in terms of amenities, but I have to correct him that all of the amenities are in place. The villa is paved with marble, and around the swimming pool it is paved with Syrian-imported porous tiles that one will not slip even if wet, stainless steel rails and crustal glass our the large balconies to facilitate the view, central air conditioning, brand new Miele oven and stove, US type state-of-the-art refrigerator with ice-making, Bosch washing machine & dryer, Bosch dish washer are all of top brands and are functioning very well. Maybe the models are too new, James had trouble using the 65 inch LCD TV and the microwave oven although Jimmy showed him how user–friendly they are. James has found all the stuff such as iron, toaster and other items as in his last text message he said that “ we even finally found the cutting board”.
The Wi-Fi is 4 mbps download and 1 mbps upload, good enough to (Hidden by Airbnb) and do routine work, if not streaming or something very complicated.
We rent our own villa to the guests as their vacation home and we want our guests to stay as if they were at home. We properly inform our guests of what they need to bring in our welcome email, i.e. Nespresso capsules, insect repellants, etc. In that email, we also listed some of the restaurants, groceries, and other information about the island and ideas to explore, and we usually text our guests material according to their needs. We can however see some value in creating a hard copy of local knowledge folder for our guests and we thank James for the idea.
A note: In Lefkada, in high season, the rent of a decent hotel room for 2 is c. 150 Euros, so our villa has a low price per its value. The villa is equipped with alternative supply of water and power generators in case of water or electricity shortage, fire-extinguishers, an extremely high anti-seismic structure, in an elegant finesse, and we wished that James would have appreciated as well. But again, we appreciated James' stay and we are glad they had a good time in our villa.
