100+ year old farm house surrounded by farms and cattle located outside of Bowling Green, KY.
Welcome to our Kentucky farm house. Tedde and I bought our home in March of 2013 when it was in much need of work and repair and have been lovingly renovating the home and property ever since. Located on top of a hill, surrounded by farm and cattle land, our home's setting is very quiet and serene. Spend time rocking on the porch or sitting under shade trees in our outdoor spaces and enjoy the slow pace of Kentucky life. Inside you will be greeted by an eclectic and colorful home that is clean and comfortable. Though there are still many projects in the works, we believe that any guest who is understanding of renovating older homes, will feel at home. The guest bedroom is located on the second floor and has a full size bed. There is also a pull out queen sized sofa bed available downstairs in the living room. There is a shared bathroom downstairs that has a clawfoot soaking tub (bath and handheld shower). We also have an outdoor shower that has a water heater and plenty of privacy. During blackberry season you may eat as many blackberries as you can pick.
RV Guests - We can provide electrical and water. No sewage hook up. We have a couple of places to park your RV with nice views. *$20 per night.
Campers - Pitch a tent. We still provide breakfast and bathroom facilities. *$15 per night.

Interaktion mit Gästen
As hosts, we like to be friendly and inviting. We enjoy interacting with our guests, but also allow as much privacy as possible. Megan works second shift hours and, depending on guests schedules, may arrive home after guests are already in bed. Tedde cooks breakfast every morning. We typically serve bacon, eggs (fresh from our hen house), and toast or quiche, but can accommodate special requests, if made in advance.
Weitere wichtige Infos
We do not have central heat or air. We have a window unit in the guest bedroom. We find that this typically keeps guests comfortable, if not cool at night. On cooler nights we like to keep the windows open and let the fresh air come in through the screens. We typically close over the coldest winter months as we heat with a wood burning fireplace, which is not every guest's idea of a comfortable stay.
We are beekeepers. We have a hive that is set off to the side of our property that is not likely to interfere with any guest's stay. If you are allergic to bees please be aware and if you have children please do not allow them to disturb the hive.
Smoking outdoors only. There is 1 indoor cat, an outdoor barn cat, and a border collie lab mix dog who is indoor/ outdoor at this home. We work hard to keep our home clean, but guests with allergies may find this is not the home for them. Guests with pets are allowed, but need to notify the host to work out details.
Hello! I am an North Alabama native who relocated to Bowling Green in 2007. I work as a psychotherapist for adults and adolescents and own my own private practice in Bowling Green. I graduated from Auburn University in Alabama with a BSW and Western Kentucky University with a MSW. I am also a local artist in the Bowling Green community as sell art on the side. My art can be seen throughout my home. Theodore is originally from New York and moved to Bowling Green in 2005. He is currently working as an office manager at the psychotherapy practice, but is anxious to return to his favorite job as a househusband. We enjoy backpacking, camping, swing dancing, and spending time with friends. We are both familiar with the sites in and around Bowling Green and enjoy showing our guests around if they do not already have plans. We look forward to meeting you!
