I do not think that your review is very fair at all. I have numerous email messages between us and I distinctly recall telling you that this river is the Little Tchefucnte, and that it is NOT A creek. I see people kayaking and canoeing frequently. Yes, it has some obstructions in the river, that is simply part of it. Also, I told you that it is not a great river for paddle boarding and I suggested that you go to the lake for that. I told you specifically that the river is perfect for dipping a pole, tubing, kayaking, canoeing, and swimming. I also told you that if you wanted additional , larger water recreation activities, that the numerous state parks nearby would be great. In terms of seeing a snake, I told you, as I tell EVERY visitor, to watch out for snakes because it is outside, and snakes live outside. I distinctly remember telling you to watch out for snakes. I am sorry that you feel your vacation was ruined, but I do not know how more specific I could have been regarding what to expect on the river. I canoe and kayak frequently, and when you are on a waterway like this, it is common that you sometimes have to get out and navigate your boat around a down tree or obstruction.
