The Esplanade stretches the length of the beach and on the opposite side there is a green, an adventure playground and paddling pool and a café selling a variety of food and beverages, which is also a great vantage point to watch the spectacle of boats and yachts as they navigate Cowes Harbour and pass through The Solent.

Other things to note
The Cottage is close to the chain ferry about 50 metres, which is a convenient link with Cowes taking foot passengers and vehicles between the hours of 6am and midnight. It operates using chains which do rattle a bit and also noise from the ramp being lowered. Light sleepers may find this a bit noisy. So please take this into account when choosing Anchor Cottage. Most of our guests are fascinated and enjoy watching this piece of maritime history ply its trade.
