Small and charming cottage with private bedroom, breezeway and full bathroom. Separated from main house by a mini patio edged with towering bamboo. The cottage does not include a kitchen, but we serve light, complimentary breakfast daily.
The cottage bedroom is sunny, safe and very quiet. The bed is a double and is very comfortable! Please note that the cottage has no kitchen. Guests often join us for a light breakfast in the main house kitchen.
We are located on a quiet, tree-lined street with easy parking four blocks from the Garden District. One block away is Magazine Street — a mecca for restaurants, antiques, boutiques and art galleries. The Magazine Street bus takes you downtown to the French Quarter and Faubourg Marigny via the Warehouse (arts) District and the Ogden and World War II museums, or uptown to Audubon Park, the Zoo and Tulane and Loyola universities. If you prefer the city’s famous St. Charles streetcar line, that trolley service is a short few blocks away.
Ours is a safe, authentic New Orleans neighborhood known for its front porches and the friendly people who sit on them. Enjoy good coffee in the main house kitchen with owners Jane and Jed, longtime New Orleans residents always happy to offer their two-cents worth on city restaurants, entertainment, and politics.
Zugang für Gäste
The entire cottage (bedroom, porch, bathroom) and patio are available to our guests. The refrigerator in the main house kitchen is available to store drinks and leftovers.
Interaktion mit Gästen
We truly enjoy interacting with our guests, as you'll see from our reviews. Not all folks want to mix. We pride ourselves on making our guests comfortable on their own terms.

This is our home, and we welcome guests who will treat it that way. Please be respectful of neighbors and try not to make too much noise after 10PM.
This is the wrong neighborhood if you are looking to throw a wild party.
Guests should not use the washer/dryer in the bathroom, and will only have access to the main house kitchen in the morning for coffee.

My husband Jed and I are longtime New Orleanians. I am a grassroots communications professional who founded a well-known youth organization in our city. Jed is a journalist and book author. We have two wonderful (grown) sons, and we love to travel. We speak Spanish and spend a lot of time in Mexico. I do yoga and meditate in my spare time; Jed is a runner.
