Rancho del Ingles nestles in the foothills between the mountains and sea. It is close to the airport ( but NOT on the flightpath) and offers free internet, swimming pool and parking. The landscape is verdant due to the stream which borders the property and we have hundreds of fruit trees. According to season you could help yourself to some figs, mandarins, oranges, lemons, loquats, avocadoes, pomegranates, walnuts or almonds, We have several newly refurbished rooms, masses of outdoor space and it's a great base for starting an Andalucian adventure. A unique environment: quirky and comfortable, friendly as well as private, spacious yet intimate, both rustic and contemporary.

-How to reach Rancho del Inglés from Málaga airport- amended 13.05.10
Lat/Long N(PHONE NUMBER HIDDEN) W(PHONE NUMBER HIDDEN) BUT see italics and asterisk below. (Some visitors have found that until they have already arrived at Rancho, the GPS won’t position you at these co ordinates.) Please note that if your GPS does not accept the co-ordinates below, you should not try entering the postcode. People have become horribly lost by doing this as the post code covers a very wide area. Follow the written directions instead.
Exit airport and turn right, that is in a westerly direction towards Cádiz/Torremolinos.
Soon you will see a blue pedestrian-bridge that crosses the road. Be prepared to take a turn-off to the right, direction Churriana / Alhaurín / Coín that comes up after 100 meters. You will come to a roundabout with a Burger King to your left. Take the first exit, direction Alhaurín de la Torre. The signpost might direct you to the A404, and/or the A366, both of which are what you want. In reality the road starts as the A366 and later the A404 and A366 merge.
Follow this road straight, all the way until you reach Alhaurín de la Torre. (There will be signpost/s pointing right to the Centro.) Continue straight through, over various traffic lights and past shops. As this road becomes a little less commercial you will see a BP garage on your right. This is an important landmark for you and you should ask for the Gasolinera BP en Alhaurín de la Torre in case you are lost.
After the BP garage you will shortly come to a roundabout. Turn right in the direction of Málaga and Coin.
You then quickly come to another roundabout, go straight over.
At the next roundabout* you take the first exit right in the direction of Málaga.
Almost straight away you will see a road sign on the right reading “ A404 Málaga 21 km”.
Just behind this road sign is a T (no through road) sign on your right. This is where you should turn right and take the no through road called Camino del Convento. NB If you approach the lane from the other direction you shouldn’t cross the solid central line. You should continue to roundabout and double back on yourself.
We are the first entrance you can see just before the bend as you ascend the track.

My husband David and I spend most hours of most days nurturing, improving, fixing and staying on top of things at Rancho del Ingles and we love to share it with visitors. We love the old stuff, I love my daughter's cooking, I love belonging to a reading group but don't know what my favourite book is. In the southern Spanish sun, tootling on my scooter, cycling, or on Shanks's pony (walking) one feel very much at one with the world and even mundane tasks can be a pleasure.
