As the name states, the sunsets at this cottage are fantastic.
This is a great cottage for a group of people. Doesn't look big from the road but it's quite spacious inside. There are four bedrooms, two bathrooms, two living rooms (with tv's) and two kitchens. The deck is huge as is the backyard. Parking for I'd say, three cars. Nice quiet area. Fire pit next to the lake.
Check in was super easy. I just opened the lock box with the provided combination and the keys were there. Cleaned up and put them back when we were done.
There is a large flat screen with basic cable and a blue ray player with Netflix, etc. (Must use your own account). WiFi was fast and reliable.
Everything feels modern and comfortable. Nice Ikea sectional.
Location is great. 5 minute drive to Sandbanks Provincial Park, 15-20 to Picton.
There is a dock and you can swim right off the backyard but it's pretty rocky and the dock is high. Not easy water access for toddlers and tricky for even adults. A ladder on the dock would be awesome. Bring water shoes as sharp zebra mussels abound and one of us cut his foot.
Bring 2 ply septic safe toilet paper.
Host was great to deal with and always replied to inquiries promptly.
Big BBQ on the deck but the push button igniter doesn't work. The BBQ lighter at the cottage was empty. Luckily I had brought one.
All in all we had a great time but the swimming wasn't the best for toddlers. Speaking of toddlers, if you bring some there's no gate on the stairs off the deck. We brought a plastic baby gate and some bungee cords and that worked well.
