Janice was a great hostess. She was more than friendly and helpful. The place is cosy, the outdoor shower is really a highlight and we enjoyed many hours on the beautiful terrace surrounded by the palm trees. It's right out of earshot from the noise of the Plaza but still in a co…

Janice is a Great, direct host! Always got back to me efficiently, especially for communicating long distance, when she’s normally in town for her guests. So much space and close to everything, while still providing seclusion for more relaxing moments. Super calming energy and th…

Thanks for the feedback, Matthew. I will note in the house info that the numbers are not in any logical order and the name of my house is: Las Iguanas de las Palmas.

Janice's studio is an AWESOME value for the price!! I loved having this space for the two weeks I was in Sayulita. I wish it would have been a little easier to get help with things like lights and internet, but that being said, it was still a great stay and I LOVED Sayulita! No A…

Thanks for the input. Louisa. I wonder what made it a "sick place to surf." No good waves? Quality of the water? Too crowded? Other? I haven't been there in the summer but have not heard complaints about surfing during the season (Nov.-May)

The 5 min walk from town allowed us to escape the lively spring break that occured in the town center below. The apartment is a great place to siesta during the mid day afternoon heat .

There have been some good waves on the local beach and recent tests indicate that the water is safe......good news.

The Bad: 1. NO WINDOWS: If you need/want a quiet and calm place to stay, this place is not for you unfortunately. "Birds in Paradise" is a title that's very accurate in one way because there are MANY noisy birds that you hear nearly constantly because there are no windows in the …

Heath, I'm sorry you had such an unpleasant experience with noise and hope you found it more to your liking in Puerto Vallarta. Sayulita is not for everyone, especially now that it has become so popular that the infrastructure cannot handle the needs, e.g. no water at times, electrical brown-outs, limited wifi service, etc. The government structure is based on Napoleonic Code Law. There is no city council to go to for requesting changes...all decisions are made on a regional basis for Bahia de Banderas. Yes, I could have glass installed in those two windows but in tropical climates if a house is closed up tightly and not used for lengthy periods of time, there are mold and mildew issues. Double pane glass is not an option and single strength glass would not eliminate the sounds you were objecting to. Mexico is noisy. People spend more of their lives outside than we gringos do. Sound travels but this is the first noise complaint I have had in 15 years. Nothing can be done about the bird and animal sounds. Perhaps for now the best solution is ear plugs. lo siento. Janice
