Our home is in one of Mount Pleasant's most desirable, quiet, low-key neighborhoods, close to the beach (10 minutes) and Historic Charleston (15 minutes). Owners live on premises. A heated (seasonal), saline pool set in our backyard garden full of trees, plants, birds and, of course, squirrels. Primary bedroom has a queen bed. The second bedroom has a full size bed (additional fee over 2 ppl). One bath for both rooms.
Our home is close to the beach on the Isle of Palms (5 miles straight down the Connector), 5 minutes to shopping and dining in Town Center. 10 minutes to Shem Creek and 15 minutes to the Historic Charleston peninsula.
The front bedroom is sunny and has a new queen bed. The bedroom next to it is a cozy room with an antique 4 post double bed. The 2 bedrooms share a full bath with double sink and tub/shower. Because the rooms are rented together you will never have to share a bathroom with strangers. There is a half bath downstairs We have a private, quiet back yard and pool. This is a 3 bedroom private home with a guest house, hosts are on premises, our suite is upstairs on the other side of the house.

We will allow access to our indoor kitchen and outdoor living space, grill, covered outdoor kitchen, heated, saline pool and deck. Nice yard perfect for yard games and bikes. Off street parking. This can also be rented with the guesthouse. Guests should note that the pool is used for swimming lessons from May into September. It's OK for guests to use the pool during lessons as long the child being given a lesson isn't distracted. Most young kids love the opportunity to perform in front of others.

We are dog friendly. We have a very friendly dog, Maya, and we welcome other dogs. There is a $25 a day fee if you leave your dog with us while you're out on the town. No cats please.
The neighborhood asks that there are no loud parties after 10PM and that cars are not parked in the street. Smoking permitted outside only.
Frequently Asked Questions and Other Things to Know
What are we allowed to use?
Please help yourselves to all the communal areas in our home. Our bedroom which is also where we do a lot of our computer work is the one area off-limits. You are welcome to use the kitchen, living room, den and bar in the main house and the outdoor living area, grill, firepit, pool, hammocks and sitting areas. The Guest House is separate and if it is occupied we ask that you don't disturb those guests. It has a full size fridge and small but complete bathroom, bedroom suite. The outdoor living area is attached to it, that area is available to everyone but please keep it quiet if guests are in the guest house.
What is for Breakfast and what time?
Breakfast is a self-serve breakfast. We have an area in the kitchen set up with a keurig coffee maker, toaster, assorted cereals (even gluten free option), breads, fruits, coffees and teas. Help yourself to milk, creamer, almond or coconut milk, peanut butter, butter and jams in the fridge right next to this area. Above it you will find glasses, mugs, cups, dishes and bowls to use. And in the draw underneath is the silverware. It is available at all times.
Are you Pet- Friendly?
We are DOG friendly as long as your dog gets along with our very friendly, Maya. She is a great dog but is on steroids to combat a slow-growing lymphoma so watch her around food!!! And please put your dog's food away where she can't get it.
You are welcome to leave your dog here while you go enjoy the area, we do ask for a small dog sitting fee of $25. We can provide the names of kennels and doggie day cares in the area if you prefer that.
Anything we need to know about the Guest House?
Yes, it is available as a pool house if we don't have guests renting it. If it is occupied it is off-limits to everyone else. It has a small but full bath with its own system which means we can only use single ply toilet tissue and NOTHING else can be flushed down it.
What comes with the Guest House?
The Guest house like the entire property is set up for WIFI. There is a small refrigerator freezer. For those staying for a few days you can make your own coffee or tea and there are mugs, plastic drink ware, utensils, and a few plates for your use. We provide coffee in the main house but if you want to make your own in the guest house please bring the coffee. There is a gas grill outside for any cooking you want to do. You will also find games available. We have recently added a TV and BluRay player. There is also an outdoor shower on the side of the Guest House for people to use especially when returning from the beach. There is a pull out full couch.
2 Guest Rooms in the House what makes them different?
The two guestrooms do share a bath so if we are full you will be sharing the bath, it has a full tub/shower and two sinks so it has not been a problem for anyone and there is a half bath down stairs, so no waiting!
The front room is sunny and bright and has a new queen bed. The back bedroom is cozy and darker with a Full size bed.
What other amenities?
We have WIFI, an assortment of pool toys, yard games, board games, puzzles, 2 bikes, 2 beach chairs, beach umbrella, beach towels, outdoor shower, firepit, grill, hammock and lots of tables and chairs all over the large backyard. You are welcome to enjoy TV in the house; it has the full Uverse package and channels. Full washer and Dryer. Air mattress is available to fit extra people in a room.
We also are happy to welcome you with a glass of red or white wine and before bed help yourself to a glass of sherry before bed! We will have both available at the indoor bar in the main house. You are welcome to store food or drinks in our refrigerator and if the guest house is not occupied you can also store it in that refrigerator.
No smoking in any of the buildings. You may smoke outside but please dispose of your cigarettes in an appropriate manner, ask for an ashtray and we will provide one for you.
We do recycle there are bins behind the Grill and up on the deck by the main house.
Our neighborhood has a noise ordnance and we must keep things quiet after 10PM.
No parking on the street, We have a large driveway that is set up for 4-5 cars.
We have a very friendly dog so please be aware and keep gates and doors closed.
We supply one set of sheets and towels for your stay of up to 1 week. We have more if you need them but we don't do maid service. You are welcome to wash your own linens if you want them refreshed during your stay.
We will wash your dishes but please set them in or near the kitchen sink when you are done.
The outdoor living area does have a sink but please be aware that it is a gray water sink and flows into the garden so please use it sparingly and only use regular Dawn detergent.
You are welcome to use the grill, please clean it after your use and ask for directions on how to turn the gas on for it and the fire pit.
Last one in please shut off the outside lights and lock the deadbolt. The lights can be bothersome, especially to people in the bedroom above.
Please don't leave food around where our dog, Maya, can get it and please don't feed her. She is on steroids for a slow-growing cancer and it makes her ravenous so watch out if you're holding a plate in your lap. Also she is on a diet so this doesn't cause her to get too fat!
