"Spacious Villa set in stunning gardens with Pool"
Steeped in the tranquil countryside of the Vall de Colonya just 2.5 kms from Pollenca old town itself, Ca’n Fannells sits amidst lush and tranquil gardens planted with a burgeoning variety of Mediterranean shrubs and plants and dotted with magnificent palms, beside a small orchard of citrus fruit.
A generous covered porch at the front of the villa makes an unbeatable summer living room, with stunning mountain views across the lawns surrounding the lovely 8m x 4 m pool. A sofa provides comfortable seating alongside the table and chairs and just a short step across the lawn a separate barbecue house has decking floors and a further dining table and chairs to move to during long warm evenings.
Through double doors from the covered terrace, the fully air-conditioned Villa is laid out over one level in a simple way and is well designed for easy living. The kitchen, fitted with shining white units, topped with polished granite work tops is equipped with gas hob, electric oven, microwave, large fridge freezer and dishwasher. Divided from the kitchen by a tall breakfast bar, the dining room features a narrow spiral staircase winding its way decoratively up to a mezzanine level storage space. Adding to the light and brightness created by a high sloping ceiling, the furnishings are finished in a light lime wash and a wood burning stove might just be useful either end of the season. Two steps lead up through an archway into the sitting room, furnished with comfortable sofa and chairs, TV with satellite reception (limited English channels) DVD player and French doors opening wide to the entrance terrace.
An inner hallway leads from the living room, to the three bedrooms and family bathroom. The two bright twin bedrooms both have ample hanging and storage space behind the sliding doors and windows to the front gravelled parking area. The light and spacious double bedroom has windows opening to a small orchard of lemons and oranges, bringing indoors, citrusy scents. This bedroom has a full bathroom ensuite. The second, family, bathroom has a combined short bath and shower .

Pollenca, Mallorca (Majorca)
El Pont Roma, the roman bridge on the edge of the town is living evidence of Pollencas Roman origins and subsequently each generation has left its mark without overwhelming this delightful small town. In this way, Pollenca has learned to accept and adapt to tourism without losing its soul and where, these days, at the vibrant Sunday morning market spilling out over the Placa Major, locals and tourists alike mingle between the wide varieties of stalls. Wandering through the narrow cobbled streets you will find many lovely old churches plus numerous small art galleries and handicraft shops. A pause for coffee and a pastry is recommended before climbing the tree lined Calvari steps - there are 365 of them, one for every day of the year - amply rewarded at the summit by panoramic views across to the northernmost tip of the island from the Calvari church! If you are here during Easter, then you will be lucky enough to witness the moving procession on Good Friday, when a figure of Christ is removed from a cross and carried down the steps by torchlight. The months of August and September have much to offer music lovers as Pollenca hosts its annual classical music festival with many concerts and at any time of year, bon viveurs will find a number of outstanding restaurants as well as small tapas bars tucked away behind the impressive central square.
Outside the town the rolling countryside is excellent for walkers and for a day by the sea, Puerto Pollenca with its lovely beaches, is only a 5-minute drive away. Nearby there's a good but hilly 9-hole golf course.

Hi, our names are Diane (rear left) Paul (rear right) Chris C (front left) & Chris L (front right) together we are the team at Freelance Holidays: We've been in the villa rental business since 1984, and are still going strong.
Since 1984 we have been keen as mustard about seeking and offering the best villa rentals in the best locations. In the beginning these were simple village houses and studios in Crete, and some villas in Mallorca. over the years we have added more choices of Mediterranean islands where we have sourced some great villas. Tastes have changed and we are now able to offer some fantastic villas, each with something special and different from the mass market operators usual selection. We have continued to keep our roots and proudly continue to offer typical village accommodation
