It's also right around the corner from The Manor, and perfect for wedding overflow or a nightcap. Stroll or bike to the village where live jazz, fresh-baked goodies, and towering elms await, or rock your worries away on the large screen porch, where the only thing that breaks the quiet is the occasional chime of bell buoys in the bay. The south-facing, spacious flagstone patio is perfect for sunbathing or dining and looks toward a field. What we Expect of Our Tenants:
1. No smoking.
2. Pets must receive prior consent of Landlord. Approved pets must stay off all furniture and beds and the yard must be cleaned of all waste.
3. Water consciousness. Water is a very precious resource in Castine, as it is essentially an island with limited access to fresh water. We ask that tenants be mindful of this by limiting baths, shower times, laundry and general use of water.
4. Respect for our land, as well as the peace and property of neighbors, MMA, the Witherle Woods, and greater region.
5.Maintenance of a clean, tidy living space, disposing of recycling, trash, and returnable bottles and cans weekly. This helps to avoid:
a.attracting skunks, mice, squirrels and raccoons from the surrounding forest.
b.causing unnecessary damage to the building, land or appliances.
e.delinquent or illicit activity. Tenants will not engage in any of the following at 35 LaTour: burning, hunting, shooting, drunk driving, drug-use or any regulated activities without the appropriate licensure, permits, or permissions as applicable.
