Bright, Clean, Refreshing Comfort w/ New Queen Bed for a trip to Yellowstone Park; 10 mins from Bozeman Yellowstone Int'l Airport, just off Interstate, in family friendly community. Playroom 4 Kids. Next to Hwy to YP's West entrance. Continental Breakfast with Fresh Bread or Muffins Included. I also have an extra queen bed in another room if you are a group or family of 4.
~~~> We TRY NOT to let the cat go out the front door. His name is “Marbles" & he is sneaky and will bolt out under the suitcases and if you hold the door open. As much as possible, I will keep him in the mud room when guests are arriving. In the rooms, there is a squirt bottle of “just water". That is to spray at the cat if he won't leave the bedrooms.
~~> PLEASE keep the Front Door, Bedroom & Bathroom DOORS CLOSED AT ALL TIMES. We try to keep the pets out of the Rooms. The cat is sneaky, so make sure it latches. AND be sure to shut the bedroom doors when you leave in the morning. The cat always gets to the room before I do, as I usually clean up from breakfast first.
~~~> PLEASE sleep between the sheets. In America, we only wash the sheets & pillow cases between guests, not the comforter, blanket, or pillow shams, the decorative fringed pillows in front of sleeping pillow, so please sleep between the sheets when you are in our home & country. Don't use the decorative pillows for sleeping.
~~~> BECAUSE of fast approaching afternoon wind & unexpected rain storms, most that come from the south, I ask that the windows be kept shut if you leave for the afternoon or evening. I reserve the right to go into your room only to shut the windows when I know of approaching bad weather or wind.
~~~> NOBODY likes to get someone else's hair twisted around their toes, so please use a tissue to wipe up the hair you loose in the shower or sink & floors. Two rooms use the same bathroom, so let's keep it looking nice for the next guest.
~~~> THE LIME (minerals) in the water here is really bad. In the bathroom is a squeegee so you can wipe down the shower walls after each use. There is one bathroom for only 2 rooms, so it doesn't get very busy. That bathroom is used only by the guests.
~~~> DO NOT put WET towels on the wooden furniture. That ruins the finish. Coasters are available for Drink glasses and coffee cups & mugs. If not, please ask for some.
~~~> THERE IS a coffee maker in each room for your use. We will make Hot Water for Tea, Hot Chocolate, Apple Cider & Oatmeal in the Kitchen.
~~~> WIPE UP spills on the desks, tables & counters.
~~~> ENJOY Yourself. There is a lot to do around here, and many trails to walk, even right here in our subdivision where we have a pond to walk around and swim in.
~~~> We have a Keypad for the front door, and if we are not here, we will send you the code number. It is not automatic, so you will have to turn the bolt when the light turns green. Please, also use the Keypad to lock the front door when you leave the house.
~~~> PLEASE sign the guestbook before you leave & put down where you are from.
~~~> I DON"T ALLOW pets in this room. We have a large kennel in the living room, and an area set aside outside if they don't bark that they are also welcome to use.
~~~> WE don't smoke, so we don't like it in the house.
~~~> WE HAVE a door right as you enter the front door for any heavy coats and winter wear if you would like. We have a mudroom for storage, and shoes if they are filthy or muddy, and there is plenty of room for your skis if you need.
~~~> WE WILL allow you to keep bikes in the garage at night if you are concerned about safety or weather.
~~~> THERE is the front porch to sit on and the backyard picnic table or swing. The Living Room is also open to your use; Books, magazines and National Geographics, etc. all around to look at. If you will be using the TV, please ask us ahead of time to show you how to use our remote. TV runs through our computer and so we will need to show you how it is set up.
~~~> THANK YOU VERY MUCH for being so considerate !!! ~~~
We always have fruit, juice, milk, oatmeal, granola, cereal & muffins, sweet rolls or homemade bread around for breakfasts. Please make yourselves at home in the Kitchen. Filtered water is on the left door inside the fridge and often in a pitcher on the table. You are welcome to cook your own food in the Kitchen as well if you desire.
... and this is Johnny. We both love being outside & whatever we do is often outside. Hiking, camping, Backpacking, Canoeing, Biking, even working in the garden or cooking, as long as it is in the Fresh Air. As Wilderness Camp Director, Camp Counselor, Children's Minister or Wilderness Guide, I have had great travel experience & opportunity to live in 15 beautiful states, often working as Bed & Breakfast Hostess or Hotel Caretakers. My husband grew up at a Camp his father owned, and loves to Canoe for days & even months on end. He is a great host, and loves to cook & tell his outdoor stories ! We spend a lot of time in Yellowstone National Park in all Seasons, photographing and watching wildlife. We spent 8 days Canoeing in the Backcountry of Yellowstone Lake in August 2011. Summer of 2013, we canoed in the Boundary Waters of Minnesota (BWCA) for a week. We go to many National Parks, with 2 trips to Glacier each year. We spent a Christmas in Moab, Utah, where we saw a slight dusting of beautiful snow @ Arches & Canyonlands National Parks. We have also done home building outreaches to Mexico, and Children's Camps in Peru. Easter was just spent in Florida, where both our mom's & brother's live. We have loved having people from all over the world stay with us and hear their stories !
