Accessibility is more flexible on the weekends with respect to late hours if, say, you want to hang from the chandliers at a club, LOL. On occasion I might be able to pick you up after the subways and busses have stopped running.
Interaktion mit Gästen
I respect a guest's privacy not only because of my upbringing (among other facets, my Father was a diplomat and in a prior job I had Top Secret Security Clearance) but because I'm by nature very open-hearted I will certainly be available to chat, help or even hang out should my schedule permit.

CANCELLATION: I am not heartless when it comes to cancellation provided I can verify it and deem it justifiable; I can make exceptions although I am not obligated to.
EXTRA FUN: I can bring you as a paying guest to embassy events or black tie affairs or many other fascinating cultural, political, journalistic events or ballroom dance classes taught by professionals including one whose coaches perform and teach on "DANCING WITH THE STARS".
AMENITIES: I have a large motion picture and video library I can lend from.
For a very reasonable fee I will be glad to provide many services, such as transportation.
TRANSPORTATION: I'll be glad to provide you with transportation, my schedule permitting, including but not limited to airport travel, restaurants, or grocery store trips. I charge LESS THAN HALF of the AIRPORT TAXI FARES. (Cab to or from Dulles is $85.00 and to or from Reagan National taxi fare is $45.00--more during rush hour). I will be glad to take you to the many wonderful nearby grocery stores (including several health food stores) so you can shop for whatever foods and beverages you wish to have in stock.
LAUNDRY: While you are here I do the laundry. I also do the dishes. (Necessitated by someone ruining my expensive washing machine after just one use so that I had to buy another.) All you have to do is wash out the tub after yourself.

Food and beverage (including water) consumption in kitchen and dining room only. Food and beverage storage (including water) in kitchen only.
No "guests of guests". Although I love animals very much, I don't accommodate pets. However, there are pet hotels and day care centers nearby where you could visit your fuzzy loved one and take him hiking in wonderful Rock Creek Park which is only 5 blocks from me.
I'm a cheery and kind person with dual careers plus lots of volunteer endeavors which keep me on the go 7 days a week. My work has taken me to 5 continents in 43 countries and 34 states. At one time my career involved business travel 10 months a year. I'm a former member of the White House staff in the Office Of Presidential Speechwriting. I started working at age 14 all through high school, college and graduate school and subsequently. Moved to D.C. at age five from NYC. Went from grade school through grad school in D.C. Moved back to NYC after grad school. Lived all over the world. Back in DC again.
I love all animals dearly and have had wonderful relationships with many species including bees (as free-flying pets), penguins, a walrus, wolves, coyotes, elephants, horses, dogs, cats, and Parrots to name just a few.
A guiding principle of mine is that everyone knows something I don't, even an infant.
