We rested in Nice for 2 weeks (15-30 August). Stayed in the Louis-Xavier's apartment. In general, everything was very pleasant. The apartment is located near the Notre Dame Cathedral (5 minutes walk), to the beach of Nice - 15 minutes, to the station - 15 minutes on foot. In the next house there is a supermarket. Everything you need can be bought there: food, household goods. The apartment is large, spacious and comfortable. There is everything you need: air conditioning in the bedroom, a large wardrobe (many clothes hangers), a spacious balcony. The kitchen also has everything you need for cooking: a large refrigerator, stove, dishes, kettle. The Internet worked perfectly. There was no problem with hot water in the bathroom. The bed in the bedroom is comfortable and large. Near the house there is a road. Cars and motorcycles constantly go. It's noisy enough at night, but the blinds on the window lowered a little from the noise. The owner Louis-Xavier is very responsive and friendly. During our vacation we were constantly correspond with him. He answered all our questions quickly, informatively and in a timely manner. I recommend this apartment for a holiday in Nice.
The apartment is really nice. It´s near to the main street, shops, restaurants, beach etc. For us, it was a huge bonus, since we didn´t rent a car. The apartment itself is spacious-nice living room and kitchen area and a bedroom. It is well-equipped (kitchen utensils, towels, bed linen etc.) and has a TV, huge dining table, couch, large bed. Since there are no pictures here of the bathroom or toilet, i did´t know what to expect, but i was really positively surprised. For those of you wondering, you won´t be disappointed. Everything works nicely. The building itself is really clean and the elevators work well. It´s located in a nice neighborhood (never had any issues). The host is friendly and responses quickly. We arrived really late, but Louis-Xavier welcomed us and gave a tour of the apartment. He even greeted us with wine and candies, which was lovely. The only negative sides are that the apartment (kitchen mostly) wasn´t as clean as i would´ve expected and the second thing is the noise coming from the street. Since a traffic light is located exactly in front of the building, all the cars and scooters make a lot of noise. But if you don´t get annoyed by this, it won´t be a problem. Overall, our experience (10 nights) was really great and we would definitely stay in that apartment again.
We stayed in Louis' apartment for a week. Louis was a pleasant host and welcomed us with a bottle of Rose. The apartment is typical for Nice - situated in a large, solid building in a good central location. Here are the pros: elevator, large apartment, cable TV with English channels, dishwasher, washing machine, balcony, clean building with a concierge. There is also the convenience of a large supermarket just down the street. The apartment is pleasant and very spacious but we would not call it 'luxury'. It is scrappily furnished and not particulary comfortable, nor was it particularly clean e.g. we found old leftover food in the freezer. Kitchen utensils and glasses were low quality and inadequate for something described as a 'luxury apartment'. Located on a busy intersection, the noise from traffic is incessant and pretty extreme. The French love their motorbikes and there are a lot of them. They are loud. Noise in general is a challenge and if you are sensitive to it, I recommend earplugs and sleeping with all window shutters down.
I really appreciate all the support that the host gave it to me! He was really attentive. The apto is close to the center of Nice, has a supermarket just around the corner, there are bakeries, shops nearby, and is just over 1km from the beach, and a few blocks from the train station. I totally recommend it. If I return one day to Nice, for sure, I'll be staying again in the apto.
My wife and I stayed in these apartments in June 2016 for 9 days. These apartments are a great choice for those who are planning to travel to the Cote d'Azur. The apartments are just a 10-minute walk from the Nice main railway station, from where you can quickly get to Monaco, Menton, Antibes, Cannes and other cities of the Côte d'Azur. The old town and place Massena are within a 15-minute walk from the apartment. Walk to the sea and the promenade des Anglais takes about 20 minutes. The apartments have everything necessary for living. The Carrefour supermarket is just 50 meters away. Louis is very hospitable and quickly answers all questions. He also recommended us good local restaurants which we visited with great pleasure. Bottle of rose wine, which Louis gave to us at arrival, was a nice beginning of our holiday.
We stayed for 5 days and loved the apartment. There is so much space for relaxing in the apartment. Particularly in the bedroom where we had two large open suitcases and still plenty of room to move around. Our flight was delayed, but Louis kindly agreed to meet us at the airport to give us keys and information. He followed this up with great suggestions for places to eat and drink in an email. The apartment is on the 5th floor in large building with plenty of sunlight. The road outside can be a little noisy when the windows are open so we tried to keep them closed whenever we were home. The area felt very safe and the building is very secure with a fob entry key and bolt lock on the apartment door. We enjoyed strolling around the area looking at the fantastic architecture in the apartment buildings. Old town is 15 minutes away by foot, with plenty to see and do on the way there. The train station is 10 minutes away. The air con in the bedroom kept the apartment nice and cool. Louis told us that the remote control was broken but we didn't mind manually switching it on and off. He is getting a new remote control for the air con shortly. The shower was great, loads of hot water and pressure all day long. The bathroom filled with light and was very pleasant for taking a shower. The kitchen was well stocked with pots, pans, utensils, plates etc. It was a little bit grubby, and could have been cleaner but overall it was fine. The balcony and view was fantastic. The apartment is ideal for a week or so in Nice. We found it perfect for relaxing! We loved our stay and would definitely recommend Louis's apartment to others.
We stayed in this apartment for 31 days and right from the beginning we felt welcomed as the host arranged us a private driver to meet us at the airport and drop us off to the apartment. Once at the apartment, we were given a tour of the apartment, which was well furnished. There was also a bottle of red wine waiting for us on the counter and a list of restaurants/bars/clubs/lounges to visit during our stay. As I already mentioned, the apartment was well furnished with a big bed, air conditioning (absolute must if you are staying in Nice during summer), dish washer, washing machine, espresso machine, microwave, and so on. We never missed anything but a great chopping knife when we cooked at the apartment. The Wi-Fi worked great and the internet was excellent 20mbps with a 20m long cable I bought to work with a 100% stable internet from the bedroom, where the air conditioning is located. We were in Nice during a heat-wave, so whenever I was at the apartment I tried to stay in the bedroom as much as I could for the air conditioner, but the other parts of the apartment were not that hot either. The neighborhood was extremely decent compared to other areas in Nice, no homeless people on the streets within 1km and an extremely friendly concierge in the building, who cleaned the hallways daily. In the neighborhood you can find a lot of lawyer offices and other private receptions of professionals. The architecture in the neighborhood was pleasing to the eye, so we enjoyed going for walks in the neighborhood and not just the promenade & harbour. The proximity of grocery stores, fresh food market, the beach and train station was comfortable. Round-trip to the grocery store was only 300m (including shopping). A calm stroll to the beach took 24 minutes, but we managed to make it to the beach with 12 minutes while making pace to see the sunrise in the morning. The promenade is an ideal distance from the apartment for a jog, so you can run plenty on the promenade and still knowing there is not a long way back to the apartment. I believe the exact distance to the promenade & beach was around 1.3 km. Overall we enjoyed our stay a lot and were very pleased with the host, the apartment, the neighborhood, the location and of course the weather as it never rained during our 31 days.
