Barabhaig, built in 2000 but in the traditional Highland style, is the comfortable home of Emma Siedle-Collins and her husband, David, offering a warm welcome in a superb position. We are by the shore of Camuscross Bay, on Sleat, the southern peninsula of Skye, with wonderful views across the Sound of Sleat to Beinn Sgritheall and there is a beach in front of the house!
Die Unterkunft
Our double bedroom is on the first floor at the front of the house looking out over the bay. The room has a TV and tea & coffee making facilities as well as free WiFi.
The bathroom (bath tub but no shower) is separate but private, so not shared with other guests.
A full Aga cooked breakfast is served in our dining room, with French windows overlooking the garden and the bay.
Zugang für Gäste
We do not have a residents lounge.

Lage
Isleornsay, Schottland, Vereinigtes Königreich
As well as the beach in front of the house there is a ‘flat’ walk along the road around the bay and on to the Isle Ornsay bar (!) - for the more adventurous, there are tracks along the wild unpopulated coastline beyond the house towards the ruined Cnoc Castle with views east to Knoydart and south towards Mallaig and Ardnamurchan.
The spectacular loop road through Ord and Tarskavaig is just a few miles to the south of us, as is Armadale Castle. Further south the road ends at Aird where the path to the Point of Sleat begins with great views to the Small Isles of Eigg and Rum. Ten miles to the north of Camuscross is the village of Broadford and the road to Torrin, past the eastern cliffs of Bla Bheinn and on to Elgol where you can take a boat across Loch Scavaig to the foot of the Black Cuillin ridge and walk up the short path to the magnificant Loch Coruisk.
Guests can also see Emma’s mixed media, textile and printmaking work – including wall hangings, collage, jewellery and handmade cards.
