My family and I had the pleasure of staying in Serena's beautiful home for a week in July 2014. As soon as I walked into the apartment I felt at home. It has high ceilings, beautiful wooden floors, and huge front windows. The living room and dining room occupy the front of the house and are so cozy and inviting. We were 4 adults and 2 small children (6 and 1 year old girls), and we fit perfectly into this home. There would even have been space for 2 more adults if needed (there is a pull-out sofa in the living room). What was really great for us was that this apartment was on the ground floor, which meant easy access for our stroller no stairs or elevators to navigate (there was space in the hallway to store the stroller). There are 2 large bedrooms with queen sized beds and a smaller bedroom with a bed and a lower pull-out mattress (I slept here comfortably with my baby girl). With 2 renovated bathrooms, one with both bathtub and shower and the other with a shower, we were able to get ready in the mornings without any trouble or delays. The newly renovated kitchen with microwave, oven, huge fridge and freezer, cooking range and breakfast bar was our focal point in the mornings and evenings and allowed us to prepare meals which we then ate in the large dining room. The house was extremely clean, allowing us the comfort of walking around barefoot (unlike in dirty hotels), and it was so well situated that we were able to walk to the Eiffel Tower and Hotel Les Invalides within 5-10 minutes. The Duroc metro station is within a 1-2min walking distance, and on the Avenue de Sevres we found bakeries, grocery stores, and restaurants that provided a multitude of eating options. It was very nice to have fresh croissants and breads every morning and evening. Serena provided all bed linens and towels and kindly provided us with milk, juices and other food items plus full access to all her kitchen items and spices so that we could start off our trip without having to run to the grocery store. There was also a washing machine in case we needed to wash something during our trip, which was very generously offered. When it was time for us to leave all of us were very sad. I know with certainty that our vacation was so enjoyable because we were able to start and end our days in Serena's home. If you come and stay here, you will understand what I mean. I hope that if and when we decide to come back to Paris, we can come and stay at Serena's again. Thank-you Serena for helping make our first family vacation in Paris so comfortable and enjoyable.
