The house has a quiet bush location but is NOT in town. If you want to be in town this is not for you. Arakwal National Park borders the property so if you you want a great bush location this is for you. You can walk via the national park to Tallows Beach in 10 mins. You can walk to town in 15-20 minutes walk depending on speed & route. Your own bathroom, fridge, TV, wifi & breakfast facilities (jug, toaster, microwave) - but not a full kitchen. The unit is furnished with double bed & lounge.
This is a completely private space, separate from the main house. It is a light airy room with its own entrance to allow you to come and go as you wish. It has its own bathroom and comes with basic breakfast facilities. You also get a comfortable lounge, Writing/work space (including wifi), fridge, kitchen bench-top with toaster, microwave, kettle and utensils.
The room is cool in summer and heating is provided in winter.
Our key feature is that we border the national park giving you unique access to the park, allowing you to work to the beach entirely through national park and with only a one minute walk to the ridge with great views to the lighthouse and over the town.

IMPORTANT: you should note the house is on a very steep block/drive and may be difficult for anyone with mobility difficulties. Access requires you to walk up a steep 40 metre driveway (or drive up it) and then access the unit that involves a narrowish paved path with 8 initial steps, a further step where the path turns right and a lip to get into the room through a narrower than normal door. There is no disabled access.
If you don't like reversing up and down steep driveways you should park at the bottom in the road (plenty of free parking space) and walk up. Please let me know if you need assistance with luggage.
This is a no-smoking house. It is also pet free (sorry the limited space and the fact that we back onto national park mean it is just not suitable for pets).
Please do NOT use the downstairs washing machine or washing line these belong to the flat adjacent. Please ask to use mine.
I am somewhat of a nomad having been brought up in Thailand, Egypt, Iran and South Africa, for sixteen years, as a child. Since then I have lived and worked in France, Netherlands, Thailand, New Zealand, Philippines, Canada, the USA and parts of South America, as well as traveling widely - mainly as a backpacker - mainly working on environmental issues (for Greenpeace, the Greens, International Rivers Network and Aboriginal organisations).
I love the ocean, music, cinema, sport (both virtual and actual), good food, reading and good conversation.
I love to interact if you want to but if your thing is just to do your own thing - then happy to leave you entirely to your own devices.
