Traditional Canarian cottage approx. 130 years old with spectacular view over the beautiful Bay of Franceses.
La Casita is built of local stone and 'tea' wood from the La Palma pine forests. The 2-foot thick walls make it cosy and romantic and with a special ambience all of its own.
The spacious romantic bedroom has wooden window sea and the bathroom a Victorian-style bath. Outside are patios for lazy days and star filled nights. Walks are from the door!
Reg No. 298 Asoc. Casitas La Palma.
Rustic accommodation with private bathroom and full self-catering facilities. Stunning panoramic sea view across the whole bay of the north of La Palma and also looking west over El Tablado, Don Pedro and with views up to the rim of the Caldera de Taburiente. For 4 months of the year, we can see both the sunrise and the sunset.
Ideal to discover the unspoilt north of La Palma with its hidden hamlets, caves, natural springs, wooden roof dwellings - great for a quiet or romantic holiday or for walking as it located right by the GR130 Camino Real.
The bus stop is just 50m and there is a bus every two hours, except for weekends and fiestas. If you have heavy luggage, ring us and we'll meet you in our Land Rover.
If you arrive on foot, no problem. We are in the hamlet of Las Tierras, which is the most westerly ridge in the area of Franceses. If walking the GR130, we are a five hour walk from Barlovento and 6 hours from Santo Domingo. The nearest shops are in Gallegos, Llano Negro or Barlovento although at the finca, there are also basics groceries, so you won't starve even if you arrive with no food!
For those arriving by car, we are on a private road, just off the village road, 1.5km from the main road, 46.5m from the capital.
Use of washing machine.

My partner and I moved from York in the UK to La Palma in 2002 where we bought an old farmhouse. It took quite a long time to restore it but we had a lot of fun along the way.
We did a lot of traveling before - searching for a new home took us to Turkey, mainland Spain and the Bahamas. In 2009, we went to Hong Kong and China, that was brilliant! But now we concentrate more on La Palma because there is so much to discover and walking is our passion. In 2010, we walked the whole of the GR130.
We are always really pleased to meet guests, new and returning, who can enjoy at least a short time in this beautiful place.
