Bright and cheery home base for your Portland adventure. We all know location makes a world of difference for any stay. Our house is one block off happening Alberta Street; this is definitely the place to be! Cafes, restaurants, galleries, shops & more all just around the corner. Family-friendly.
Cozy, comfortable, and oh so convenient! We are one block from all that Alberta Street has to offer, but our street is very quiet. It's the best of both worlds, all the bustle at your fingertips, none of the hustle when you wind down for the night.
The room is approximately 12 feet x 12 feet (13.37 sqm), there is a sleeper sofa that accommodates 2 people comfortably. We have a spare full-size 3" foam mattress for 2 additional guests. Additional guests beyond the first 2 are $15 extra with the exception of kids under 2 years of age. If traveling with an infant/toddler, we have a nice travel crib, a baby tub and lots of other gear that will make your stay easier.
Please bear in mind that you will be a guest inside our home, and will be sharing a bathroom. Sorry we do not have air conditioning or TV. In Summer months, hot weather can be challenging, we do have fans, but if you are accustomed to air conditioning, our home is not likely the best choice for your stay.
There is a small table with stools in the room for you to enjoy a cup of coffee or tea in the morning, or a glass of wine or beer in the evening. There is ample closet space for your luggage. You will have access to our kitchen/living areas, and to our washer/dryer.
We are a couple with a 4-year old daughter. We live on the 2nd floor of the house and the guestroom is on the first floor. Hisayuki's cousin Kotona lives in a bedroom across the hall on the first floor and she is whom you'll be sharing the bathroom with. Please note if you are light sleepers, that you may hear us in the kitchen in the morning as we are early risers.

Interaktion mit Gästen
We are glad to make recommendations for places to see and things to do. We'll take the cue from guests on level of interaction. We've shared meals and drinks with guests and love to swap stories of travel & life in general, but also have had guests that we barely speak to just by happenstance of our schedules not coinciding during their stay. Either way, we are happiest when guests feel welcome and comfortable, and have the best visit possible.
