Quiet, yet super central 2 BR apartment in the Duboce Triangle/Castro neighborhood, just minutes away from subway, streetcar, Castro Theater, Duboce Park. Modern design, great views, light & bright - truly a home in the sky.

Super bright 2 BR top floor apartment (appr. 650 sft.) in a beautiful renovated Edwardian Building. Located in the heart of the green and quiet yet central Duboce Triangle/Castro neighborhood. Amazing, unobstructed views of downtown San Francisco, the Bay, Potrero Hill, Bernal Heights, Noe Valley and Twin Peaks. Sleeps 3-4 adults or 2 adults and 2 children.

1st bedroom with (full sized) bed and room in the closet for your clothes (see photos).

2nd bedroom currently used as an office but it has a sofa bed in it that can accommodate 1-2 people (it's an odd size between a single and a double - see photos.) Views of Twin Peaks.

Eat-in kitchen with dining area that seats 4. Equipped with designer gas stove (see photos), coffee maker, dishwasher, toaster and large fridge & freezer.

Living room area (with gas fireplace), kitchen and dining area all connected and have Eastern and Southern exposure windows overlooking the Bay and Noe Valley.

Full bathroom with new fixtures - blowdryer and toiletries (soap, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, lotion) provided. Views even in the bathroom! (see photos.)

Wifi internet

TV available (no cable but Apple TV with access to Hulu, Netflix, HBOGO, etc.)

The kitchen exit takes you directly to the back stairwell. One flight up and you're on the (shared) furnished roofdeck with 360 degree views of the city. (There are 8 units total in the building and the neighbors rarely use the roofdeck - chances are you'll have it to yourself for a meal, sunning and/or a glass of wine.)

We live in this apartment, this is not a space specifically set up for visitors. We will be gone while you are in town (we're leaving for a vacation) and the entire space will be yours with no restrictions.

While we are out of town, our friend Matt, who lives in the apartment below (167B), will take care of you. He will greet you when you get here and help you with any questions or needs you may have during your stay.

Located a couple of blocks from Duboce Park and the center of the vibrant Castro Street neighborhood, our apartment is on Castro Street. Our neighborhood is green and the apartment very quiet. At the same time we are a five minute walk (2 1/2 blocks) from the famous Castro movie theater, restaurants, bars and clubs if that's what you're looking for.

There is a farmers' market in the neighborhood every Wednesday afternoon 2 blocks away from our house.

Public Transportation
The Castro Street Muni stop is just 2 1/2 blocks away and gives you access to 4 subway lines that all take you downtown. You will also find the famous historical F-streetcar here that takes you directly to the Embarcadero and Pier 39; the #24 bus stops down the block.
The shopping and tourist area around Union Square is just 4 train stops away and if you feel adventurous and want to head to Oakland, you can switch to the cross-Bay train BART at Civic Center.

Parking:
Street parking is generally easy to find in our neighborhood, but is limited to 2-hours during weekdays. Weekends are unlimited.

Transportation from SFO Airport:
A cab is about $50 plus tip, Uber is less ($30-40 incl. tip) depending on whether fares are surging or not (the app will tell you, if you have it.)
You can also take BART (public transportation) to the Civic Center stop (approx. $8 per person, one way) and switch to our subway there (it's called MUNI.) From Civic Center you take MUNI to the Castro Street stop. You can also just hop in a cab from Civic Center. Our house is on a hill and while the trek up Castro Street isn't that steep, with luggage it can be a bit tough. SuperShuttle is a "shared ride" airport shuttle that transports several passengers and is cheaper but generally takes longer.

The reason the apartment is so bright and has the amazing views is because it's on the top floor of the building (4th floor.) Please be aware that there is no elevator in the building.

Cleaning and Taxes:
The house will be just cleaned with fresh linens and towels already set out for you. A one-time $75 fee for professional cleaning of entire apartment and all linens is added per stay. STR-(PHONE NUMBER HIDDEN)
