Beauties and wonders of National Park Sutjeska are like precious gems in the crown of Bosnia and Herzegovina. The park includes the highest mountain in the country, Maglić (2386 m), ancient woodland and natural reserve Perućica and adventurous landscapes of mountains Volujak, Vučevo and Zelengora. Thanks to its extraordinary and intact natural treasures the Park has found its place on the list of the International Union for Conservation of Nature.
National Park Sutjeska is a most complex ecosystem in BiH and its biodiversity is one of the richest in the South-eastern Europe. Entire park area is distinguished by amazing beauty and variety of landscape; tame valleys, thick forests, mountain meadows and tall mountain tops. Mountain Zelengora has eight glacial lakes – “mountain eyes”, crystal-clear waters of Sutjeska, Hrčavka and Jabučnica are home for silver trout and these rivers have made deep canyons full of mysteries. There are many species of wild animals and plants, some are peculiar and endemic. In the heart of the Park there is the natural reserve Perućica (area 1434 ha) with its ancient trees; it is the best preserved and the biggest virgin forest in Europe. Since the Park was established human intervention in the forest is strictly forbidden(URL HIDDEN)
In the National Park Sutjeska there are many monuments dating from the ancient and recent history.

HOW TO REACH US
If you are coming from Sarajevo/Foča/Belgrade and you are on the way to Trebinje and the Adriatic coast (Herceg Novi/Dubrovnik), on the 25th kilometre from Foča you will come to village Popov Most.
On your left side, below the road, you will see elementary school "Sava Kovačević" with a portrait of the legendary WWII commander on its wall. Proceed 20 meters more and you will see the sign on the left side that indicates directions to our place, the valley, and river Sutjeska.
Make the left turn and continue driving for about 500 m until you see a red “hanging” bridge. It is safe to cross the bridge on foot or in passenger cars, but it is prohibited for trucks and other, heavier vehicles. When you cross the bridge you will see a stone Eagle (monument from the WW II) and that means that you have arrived – if you look to the right you will see our house.
We are expecting you! Welcome!
