Crow's Nest is a charming lofted cottage, 2 houses from Mission Bay and steps from the Pacific Ocean, restaurants and Belmont Park! This adorable little turnkey vacation home really makes the most of the small space, with a fully equipped kitchen, office nook, and garage parking! Best for 2 adults or 2 adults and 1 or 2 children. Comes with beach equipment & 1 bike on a first come basis.
Start your day at Crow's Nest with coffee or tea at sunrise on the super-sized daybed just outside your front door. (Also an excellent place for sunbathing!) Or pop over to the bay two houses away for a sunrise jog on the bayside walking path. Afterwards, head inside to make a fresh breakfast at your leisure in the fully-equipped kitchen or walk to a local restaurant for breakfast treats like Lemon French Toast (North Shore Café) and Pulled Pork & Eggs (Starkey’s).
After breakfast it's time to plan out your day. One option is to head over to the sea beach just a block and a half away – the cottage includes beach chairs, towels, an umbrella, and a boogie board. No matter what time of year you visit, there’s likely to be at least one or two beach days during your stay – and if not, relaxing on the beach is just as fun in shorts & T-shirt as it is in a bathing suit!
Mission Beach also has a number of equipment rental stores for biking along oceanfront walk, kite-boarding, surfing, zipping around on a jetski, or kayaking in the bay. Or you could also use the day to explore other attractions in San Diego, like Sea World (5 minute drive) or the Zoo & Balboa Park (10-15 minute drive.)
In the afternoon, its time to start figuring out plans for dinner and the evening. Make sure to set aside time to relax in the sunny office nook, perfect for curling up with a good book, penning postcards to friends & family, or reading through our guide to area restaurants, bars & activities. Belmont Amusement Park a few blocks away is a popular spot for evening fun – ride the historic wooden roller coaster, try your luck at boardwalk games, or treat yourself to some cotton candy or ice cream. There are also several oceanfront restaurants with excellent food and great views of the sunset. A shaded, exclusive-use patio area at ground level offers a cozy place to grill up some burgers and dine outdoors.
At night, relax on the daybed with a locally brewed beer or a glass of Temecula wine… or make s’mores at a beach bonfire on the bay as you watch the Sea World fireworks (8:50 nightly, weekends only in the off-season.) On chillier nights there is the option to relax in your living room and enjoy the electric fireplace & premium cable channels.

There is an electric fireplace and a TV with premium cable channels. An airbed is available for additional guests; there is also a pack'n'play and the sofa pulls out into a bed.
Full kitchen with stainless steel appliances (stove, refrigerator, microwave.) Features charming preserved 1940s tile around the sink. Spacious, sunny bedroom with full bed (firm mattress with memory foam pillow-top), skylight, dresser, wardrobe, TV, and office nook. Door between bedroom & living room is an accordion door (provides privacy and blocks light, but not sound) and the bathroom is only accessible through the bedroom, so the place is best for families traveling together. With two unrelated couples the place might be a bit crowded.

An extra space heater is available for the bedroom for especially cold nights (only needed once or twice a year.) The climate is temperature year round; highs in the winter are in the mid-to-high sixties, with days in the seventies fairly often.
Please note this rental cottage is accessed via a set of stairs. It is free standing and not on top of or connected to any other unit.
Zugang für Gäste
