Very nice place in a quiet neighborhood. The description and pictures were quite accurate and cover the high points. Gigi is a very experienced host and does everything to be helpful and accommodating. The space is nice. A few small issues worthy of note: - There are two steps up to the bathroom. No problem and since there are five steps down to get into the apartment (as stated in the description) definitely not an access impaired friendly unit. - The queen bed is in a corner of the room meaning that if two are using it one of you will have to climb across your partner to get out. That's a bit annoying if one gets up in the night :-) - The futon is pretty uncomfortable as a couch. We didn't use it as a bed so I have no idea how it would be as a bed. There is another love seat and an upholstered chair so a good amount of seating for 2. The seating would be tight for 3 and 4 would require use of the futon. In sum, a nice space for 2, good quiet neighborhood, and lots to do in the area.
We very much enjoyed our stay at Gigi's! We loved every little detail of the place and especially the garden in the back. The breakfast and coffee were delicious. I felt most comfortable and safe in this part of town and it is walking distance from Lands End, which we highly recommend doing! We could not have asked for a better place to stay during our vacation and will definitely stay here again next time we visit San Fran.
Every now and then...you book what you think is a middle of the road airbnb expecting an average stay, but 5 minutes into check in you know you've hit the jackpot - that would be Gigi's place. Lovely, quaint, quiet, perfect location near Sea Cliff and Land's End, Sferra sheets on a cozy bed opening into a garden tended with love, and the most delicious, filling breakfast! After long days of playing tourist in and around SFO and no doubt walking everywhere, Gigi's is a welcome respite, trust me!
Don't think we could have asked for more. A beautifully designed private space with plenty of room for our family of four, and staying in a great neighborhood in a premier city is a treat. Out back is a relaxing garden with apiaries, flowers and veggies. Easy to leave the car and take public transportation or a taxi downtown. At Gigi's recommendation we spent a day walking in the neighborhood and nearby Golden Gate Park, and especially loved the de Young museum there. Gigi provided good strong coffee and a bountiful, healthy fresh breakfast in the a.m.
