The property is in a very large subdivision of mostly 1 acre parcels and the climate is basically rain forest mitigated by the trade winds off the ocean, so the surrounding environment is very green and usually balmy and tranquil with the daytime skies are either cloudy to very cloudy or a brilliant blue or sometimes both and very dark at night.
Situated on an acre of land that slopes gently downward toward a bluff at the ocean’s edge, the property offers a unique environment perfect for a peaceful and relaxing vacation experience. Enjoy the tranquility of the zen garden, long walks along the coastline, or simply sit and relax amid the serenity of a shady retreat between lily ponds. The property is fully landscaped with over 100 varieties of flora, including: bamboo, water lilies, fragrant flowers, ornamental vines, succulents, and fruit-bearing trees.
Take a relaxing dip in the Japanese-style soaking tub that spills over into a gorgeous, 42’ long, salt water, infinity edge lap pool. Soak up some sun or recline under an umbrella on a poolside lounge chair overlooking the ocean. The pool deck area includes an outdoor hot water shower.
When conditions are right, the snowy peak of Mauna Kea can be seen from the property, as can whales, dolphins, sea turtles, Nene and other species unique to Hawaii. Fishing is a common activity along the bluff.
Accommodations are in a luxurious oceanfront home offering spectacular views. The residential building includes the owners’ residence and two two bedroom apartments, one above the other. The two floor plans are identical and each has approximately 880 SF of living area. Both the upstairs and downstairs units can be rented as either a one- or two-bedroom unit. When rented as a one bedroom unit, the second bedroom and bathroom are closed off and remain unoccupied for the duration of the one bedroom guests’ stay.
For all the configurations, the maximum occupancy is two people per bedroom, so a one bedroom rental is limited to a maximum occupancy of two people and a four bedroom has a maximum occupancy of eight people, etc.
In all, there are 6 different configurations, with different nightly rates, that can be rented. They are:
the 1st floor 1 bedroom apartment,
the 1st floor 2 bedroom apartment,
the 2nd floor 1 bedroom apartment see which way looks best
the 2nd floor 2 bedroom apartment
a 3 bedroom apartment
a 4 bedroom apartment
The first four configurations include a living/dining area with kitchenette while the 3 and 4 bedroom configurations have two living/dining areas with kitchenettes.
