Welcome to the Plumtree Room
You may park on the boulevard in front of the house or to the rear of the driveway. Please do not try to lock or latch the front door; we’ll take care of that. Port Burwell is quite safe.
By now, if we couldn’t greet you personally, you have found your way in the front door, up the stairs and to the right to your accommodation. The main light switch is just on the left as you enter the room; if it doesn’t go on, pull the centre cord on the ceiling fan/lamp. The side cord operates the fan. If you hear a little whishing noise periodically, it is the air freshener atop the wardrobe. Bathroom lights are just on the right as you enter the bathroom, as is the vent fan control. The bathroom is also equipped with a heater. Please do turn off lights when not in the room.
There are extra towels in the bathroom cupboard, as well as a hairdryer. In the wardrobe there is a sportsbag with a sheet, beach towels and water bottles for your use. Please remember to leave them here on departure.
You may have visited the living room, dining room (where we serve breakfast, unless you care to take it on a tray to the front porch or back yard gazebo or patio) and kitchen. There is a refrigerator for the use of guests in the upstairs hallway, and if you need to warm something downstairs, just ask us.
We have provided some bottled water, but we drink the tap water. Continental breakfast is served at 8:30am. If you haven’t already had the opportunity to inform us of any allergies or aversions, preferences in tea/coffee, etc., please write us a small note with your names to relax on the front porch, in the living room or back garden areas. We have a variety of games to loan you as well.
When dining out, remember that in this modest hamlet, many kitchens close at 8:00pm. You’ll find later in this notebook a guide to restaurants and more.
Our wifi code is (PHONE NUMBER HIDDEN).
If you need to reach us when we’re out and about, please call (PHONE NUMBER HIDDEN) (Jeff’s cell). In an emergency, we have very helpful neighbours in the brick house just east of us on the corner; ring the downstairs bell for Bill or Rose; or go across the street and over one to the grey house on the corner and ask for Jim Hevenor.
As we have to prepare the room for our next guests on time, we request that you vacate the room on time. We also appreciate your comments and signature in our guest book.
Please know if there is any way we can make your stay more comfortable; enjoy and come back!
Cordially, Your hosts(URL HIDDEN) Jeff and Marion Rogers

Marion and Jeff are like our long lost family :) They made us feel so welcome in their home, prepared us a great breakfast, lent us their beach gear... all while we bonded over speaking Spanish, travels, music (there was dancing and singing too, all before 10 am!). We hope to be back again!! Oh, and their place is fantastic :)

Our stay with Jeff and Marion was very relaxing. Both mornings Marion put out an amazing breakfast. A lot more breakfast than what we usually eat but that's just part of what made the weekend special. That said, we weren't hungry for anything like a lunch until closer to 2:00 each day! Marion's talk of the things that she is impassioned for and Jeff's quick, dry wit are a wonderful combination. Together they both somehow manage to make sure every need is meet but in a way that good friends would do so, as opposed to it being a business obligation. They do Port Burwell proud! -Bruce and Amanda

It was a great experience to visit Marion's and Jeff's place. The house is beautiful and and both rooms are perfectly designed to give full comfort and satisfaction to any visitor(s). Marion and Jeff are very friendly and enthusiastic couple, we had perfect connection (something what does not happen at the hotels...) and after delicious breakfast we took some time for great conversation. We wish you all the best and even more success with Airbnb! Margo and Ken
