Kt’s initial request, as visible in the mail conversation, was hinting to one family with 3 children (5,5,3) and one family with 1 child, 3 yrs old, what led us to prepare the ground floor apartment with two double bedrooms and a double sofa in the living room and one double room upstairs with a child’s bed. No further details or needs were ever declared. Few days before the arrival we asked for more details to optimize the accommodation and we got no clarifications but a surprising message that the kids would sleep all together in big beds! At the arrival we discovered that the families had two children each and of course that created a general embarrassment and made the accommodation problematic, although no mention of this is done by Kt.
Right after request of additional living space, we put to their disposal an additional lounge and a bathroom with washing machine which was immediately used. In fact we have always been sensible to any request.
As to the check in time, we asked some time to clean the house after the previous guests left, we were ready ay 4pm but the guests arrived at 6:30 pm!
Breakfast is not foreseen in our announcement as the cottage is rented with the self-catering formula, nevertheless we provided all the materials for the breakfast of the first day.
To face the exceptional heat and humidity wave which oppressed Italy on those days we put on purpose a dehumidifier in the apartment and a fan in the upper floor room.
As soon as we knew of a nest of wasps close to the pool, we instantly reacted with sprays and for protection against insects a full set of materials was provided since the beginning.
As we said in our first comment, most of the negative feelings in the Kt’s report were due to the wrong and superficial choice of the place in relation to the structure of the two families which generated an uncomfortable relationship on both sides.
