Erick is a super nice guy. He’s friendly and accommodating, always making sure everything is ok. He even gave me a ride to the airport! He works long hours though, including on Saturdays and sometimes on Sundays, so we didn’t see each other too often. The apartment is nice. The bedroom has a giant comfortable bed, lots of closet space, and a cable television. The kitchen has modern appliances and there’s a nice living room with multiple comfortable couches. The shower has really great water pressure, which I’ve found can be a rarity in Mexico. The two dogs are very sweet and fun to be around. The house is generally kept pretty clean. The apartment is also in a safe area. I felt safe walking around at night. It’s also right next to one of the largest highways in the city, which has its positives and negatives. On one hand, a number of busses pass right by (Take R-5 Estanzuela to get to the Centro), so it’s quite easy to get around and there are a number of large supermarkets nearby. On the other hand, the traffic noise is constant (although not that noticeable in the bedroom) and what’s along the highway is mostly car dealerships and chain restaurants, such as Chili’s and Carl’s Jr. Nevertheless, if you walk in the opposite direction from the highway, you’re in a nice quiet middle class neighborhood with a number of small parks that are good for jogging in. Overall, I had a really nice stay here and Erick will definitely make you feel at home.
