I had the best time in NY and with staying at Kim´s Apartment! If you´re on this page right now, concidering booking one of the rooms. Do it ! You´re not gonna regret it. The apartment is really cute, the subway situation (Station right next to the building) is a dream and Kim is a wonderful hostess. Uncomplicated, so sweet and supportive. I came to NY for music and she even gave me some contacts and told me about great concerts. Even though, we didn´t see each other alot, since I was in town or on concerts everyday and almost all day. You can just go there, have a great stay, do your thing, and If you have questions, Kim is (URL HIDDEN) was perfect :) Thanks for the great time. Pia

I had a wonderful time in New York. Kimberley's flat is huge and and very artsy. We were 4 people living there and we had a good time together. Kimberley is open minded and she knows everything about the city. Subway is so close that you fall right into it stepping out of the house... It can be a little noisy now and then in and around the house.

Kimberly is a very nice, friendly and helpful. Her apartment is at a super convenient location. The subway station is right next door and the express A train will let you reach anything in a very short time. Possibly there was some mix up with my reservation, because the room I got was definitively not 100 sq (way smaller) and did not have a desk. It was just a relatively small room, with a small bed, and only one chair and a built-in closet. It was definitely sunny, unfortunately also very loud as the apartment is on the first floor (Europe)/second floor (US) on a very very busy intersection. To sum up, it is a great base from where to explore the city , but possibly not ideal if you want/need to spend time in the apartment and are senstive to noise.

Pros: Kim is a very nice and helpful host and her apartment is at a very convenient location. The subway station is right in front of the door and you can be in Midtown in 20mins. Everything you need is around the corner. Her cat is really cute (but you barely see her) :) Cons: Due to a large intersection it is very loud at night, so you should bring earplugs if you aren't used to NYC's noise! The rooms are not cozy at all and the apartment was quite dirty while I was there, so I would not recommend longer stays. Also there is no aircon or window fan, so it gets really hot in summer! I would probably not stay there again.

Kim is a very kind and thoughtful host. I stayed with her for about two weeks. When I arrived, the elevator was broken, and as I use a cane to walk, she helped me with my bags. She was very welcoming, explaining the apartment and checking in on me that first day. The location is really great. As it's in the heart of Harlem, it can definitely get noisy, with folks on the street and cars always going past; but the subway is literally right outside the door, which is great if you're commuting downtown. It's also very close to several grocery stores, little restaurants, and cafés. There's a bus stop right outside the apartment as well, and just a few blocks down is St Nicholas Park, which is a lovely place for a stroll. If you don't like cats, this might not be the place for you, as Charlie is pretty curious and energetic, and often came into my room (which I didn't mind). There's no air conditioning, so if you're staying in the summer it can get pretty hot and humid, but if you're there for more than a few days, this can be easily remedied with a small desk fan. If accessibility is an issue for you, as it is for me, Kim's place is moderately accessible for someone with limited mobility. It definitely isn't wheelchair accessible, as the only entrance is stairs. However if you use a cane/crutches/etc, there are only about eight stairs in total to get into the building, and there are sturdy railings. There is an elevator in the building to get up to the apartment, but it was broken a few times. The subway stop isn't an accessible one, so if you have issues with stairs, you might want to look into alternative forms of transportation. All in all, I really enjoyed staying here!
