U'Locu has been a small family working estate of about 250 acres since the beginning of last century. The main farm building was resorted 40 years ago and is now serving as the summer residence to the Martinelli family of three generations. Here we grow a selection of regional organic vegetable and fruits that are available to you from our gardener Matteo. Who is also very pleased to give you are garden tour and is knowledgable of the local area. Middle generation Roberto was a famous volleyball player for Italy therefore the tennis courts are set up for most ball games.
We are located on the edge of the ancient village of Parghelia. Relaxed and pretty with very little traffic, Parghelia has an old world charm. Within 3 minutes walk you will reach our local shops and fresh fruit & vegetable market where you can buy local and international foods and wines. The village is the home to 3 restaurants and 5 bar/ice cream/cafes that serve from early morning till late. Yet, once through the private gates at U'Locu you are back in the quiet of our rural setting.
Our two, quiet white sand beaches are a short 10min off road stroll down the village steps. Super clear water with rock pools and great snorkelling. The beaches are shallow with calm waters that are ideal for children of all ages. The area is also home to over 20 beaches spanning 10km of coastline.

Ciao sono Daniela, ho la fortuna di vivere in posti bellissimi, d'inverno sono a Merano, in Alto Adige, e d'estate mi trasferisco a Parghelia, in calabria. Adoro la natura, i posti incontaminati in montagna come al mare, gli animali e i bambini ( ho 3 gatti e 3 figli) e naturalmente anche mio marito.
Mi piace avere ospiti, afittare gli appartamenti al mare per me è un occasione per conoscere persone, quasi sempre faccio amicizia con i miei clienti, soprattutto se hanno bambini e si trovano a giocare con la nostra Giorgia, che ha 5 anni.
Mi sento in qualche modo responsabile verso i miei ospiti, e cerco di contribuire il più possibile alla buona riuscita della loro vacanza in modo che possano portarsi a casa un bellissimo ricordo.
