Hi Elke, thank you for your honest reviews and compliments, much appreciated. Glad you enjoyed the cottage and the farm. I apologize for the short rustic road you had to endure, understandably so given the additional rain added to your arrival. Fortunately I know the road well and was comfortable to lead you through it as I also own a smaller car. Having said that, a 2x4 or a 4x4 vehicle would ease a traveler's mind when not completely comfortable to drive on a rustic terrain you are not used to. Fortunately I do make a point of mentioning the rustic road as well as requesting the vehicle type of the guest. Your concern has stirred me to communicate this clearly to any future potential guest before visiting the farm.
Thankfully we are in the process of repairing the road, and due to contractors who committed but later advised they were not able to accommodate us before December due to heavy rains, left us with no alternative but to postpone the road repair until January 2016. On another positive note, the neighbor has agreed that once construction is in process there will be no further in between gates! I trust you had a memorable experience and a wonderful holiday in our beautiful country. Thank you for your visit, it was wonderful meeting you and your lovely family. Please come visit us again soon. Regards Sylvia
