I live in the apartment myself, and will be here part of the time. At your arrival, I will provide you with a city map and other useful information, and some advice and tips on what to see and where to go in Oslo. Otherwise I will leave you to yourself. If you have questions, or if there's any trouble, you can allways reach me on my cell phone when I'm not at home.
My flat is on the third floor in a beautiful 19th century brick building, with a prize awarded green lounge backyard with beches and a playground for children. The apartment is located at the lower part of trendy Grünerløkka, in a quiet side-street, with many shops, restaurants, bars, cafés and parks close by. It’s a two min walk to the city river "Akerselva", where you can stroll along a green path along the river, or rent a bike and ride beside the river all the way to Maridalen, an approx. 9 km tour. The lovely Botanical Garden is a short walk away, and in the far end of the park you’ll find the Munch Museum, a collection of works from the world famous expressionist painter Edvard Munch.
Five minutes walk from buses and trams that will take you around Oslo.
I will give you a map and a city guide to attractions in Oslo at your arrival. I know my city, and I will, as far as I can, give you reccomandations on what to do and what to see, according to your interests.
