Der Gastgeber hat uns viele Tipp's gegeben. Die Wohnung liegt wirklich zentral - alles ist schnell zu Fuß zu erreichen. Leider war es bei unserem Aufenthalt nachts durch angetrunkene Touristen sehr laut auf der Straße. Aber da kann ja der Gastgeber nichts dafür :))

Dear Kate, It is funny that you are finally willing to communicate with us properly. Even though for downgrading our reputation as 5 stars host. It is important now to give also our version of this unfortunate story to the public. First of all, you guys completely ignored to tell us about your delay. As written in our listing under the "other things to note" section "It is very important that you let us know the EXACT time of your arrival at the apartment. We allow a maximum time of 30 minutes wait, after that we will leave the place. You can make another appointment writing us an e-mail or calling us directly". We knew that you guys had to come at 4:20pm. We waited 2 HOURS at the apartment, without hearing nothing from you. Then, we left the place. You arrived after 6:30pm and you were actually very lucky: when you finally called us we were nearby and I could check you in straight away. Otherwise, since we do not live around the corner, you should have waited much, much longer than 10 minutes. Nevertheless, when I arrived at the apartment you, Kate, were already annoyed and contemptuous toward me; to the point that I was forced to speak with your boyfriend exclusively. The same in following occasions. About water and the internet: YES, they both went down at the same time, and YES, we did apologized for that several times. Uselessly apparently. Since we gave for granted that you would understand that if the internet provider is having problems, or the water pump in the building breaks down, the situation is beyond our control and therefore is NOT our fault. As I attempted to explain to your kind boyfriend, Florence is a very ancient town. The condominium you lived in was built during the XIII century. Sometimes things can go wrong. It is understandable. The fact that you had both problems at the same time was REAL bad luck. This can be confirmed by essentially ALL POSITIVE reviews we had since we started to rent "Via della Condotta". Therefore, when you write “to future guests: the heater will probably cut off frequently”, you are doing nothing but spreading misinformation. Moreover, when you write “Arjuna was willing to come by the apartment more than once to help, but unfortunately that meant we had to be at the apartment to meet him several times, cutting short our sightseeing” you're reporting total falsity, since I have two extra pair of keys. I could have tried to fix all problems while you were sightseeing around Florence (if only told to do so). Ultimately, when you left the apartment Federica kindly offered a discount/refund for the next stay (for which you could have asked before if you truly wanted), and your boyfriend wrote us this very nice message: "Thanks for the offer of the discount, not sure if we'll ever have the chance to come back though. I KNOW THEY WEREN'T YOUR FAULT, we just seemed to have a lot of bad luck on our trip. First late trains and missed connections, then all that. I guess IT HAPPENS FROM TIME TO TIME!". This last sentence is what actually leaves me more displeased towards you, Kate. Since it shows much more understanding and kindness (but it was written by your boyfriend, right?). We did not expect such frustration and disappointment from you after more than 10 days. The difference between renting a private house on AirBnB and going to an hotel is that you can essentially leave more space to human interaction. The difference is that you have the real chance to meet your hosts, gain constant HELP, SUPPORT and true LOCAL HOSPITALITY. We do care about these things. And our guests know it very well. We give great importance to our job and we attempt to offer the best possible service.
