The Longview Lode is a licensed B&B. It is a green home powered totally by solar panels and a wind generator. We are off the grid and with that have a great deal of privacy. Because we are off the grid you will have to practice energy saving things, turn off the lights, not use a hair dryer except during sunlight hours, etc. The Longview has two bedrooms available each with a private bath and private entrance. Our home is on 13 acres but surrounded by thousands of forest service land. If you want a place to relax this is it.
We are located just 4 miles from Custer, 20 miles from Mt, Rushmore and minutes from Crazy Horse Monument. It is centrally located between Jewel Cave National Monument and Wind Cave National Park and a very short distance from Custer State Park. We often have deer and turkey on the land as well as an occasional elk. If you are very lucky the Mountain Jays will come and eat from your hand. It is truly an isolated paradise. We do have a tipi set up for you to view. You will have access to our very large deck that overlooks a Ponderosa forest as well as a great view of Cicero Peak. We offer a breakfast each morning.
The Dakota room has a queen bed and a full bathroom with a soaker tub. The Dakota room has a private entrance and access to a kitchenette. It is a very spacious room decorated in fishing motif. We charge $130.00 per room a night and we have a minimum of 2 nights stay.
