This is a great apartment, I highly recommend it!
Thank you so much, Giulio and Giuseppe. If I visit Rome again, I will try to book it again!
+++ location, location, location: the apartment lies in the heart of Rome, a few steps away from the Pantheon. All „main attractions“ of this amazing city are in walking distance
+++ very nice, fast and reliable contact to the owners for all questions (with SMS, (SENSITIVE CONTENTS HIDDEN) and Airbnb-email; we never met in person). They even made it possible that we could enter the apartment three hours before 14:00. And same thing the way back: because there was no new renter the day we left, they allowed us to stay a few hours longer in the apartment than the usual 11:00 and leave our bags inside during our last walk in Rome
+++ the apartment is really quiet
+++ everything was clean
+++ the bedroom (and also the rest of the apartment) can be made completely dark, so no disturbing sunrays in the morning
+++ the bed is very comfortable and much better and bigger than it looks on the pictures (1,60 m x 1,90 m – I am 1,87 m)
+++ WiFi was working all of the time and in each room
+++ although a bit more water pressure would have been nice, the shower had more or less the same temperature all of the time while showering. So no chillblains or burns. Which is unusual, because in most showers I experienced, I had to jump around a lot and play with the switch forever
+++ the toilet has a good flush
+++ it was mid-November and the heating worked perfectly (no idea about the air condition though, since we didn’t need it)
MINUS (really minor complaints):
--- yes, as you might have read in other reviews, the shower is really small, especially getting in and out might be a problem for some people. Nothing for the overweight. But to change this and insert a modern state-of-the-art shower, a complete change of the (clean and otherwise sufficient) bathroom would be necessary. There was also some indefinable leak somewhere in the shower and a very small puddle was created outside of it each time we used it. No problem for us, we wiped it away with some towel. But this should be repaired, Giulio said he would take care of that problem after we left
- a bigger, better chest of drawers for storage of pullovers, t-shirts etc. would be good. There is one in the bedroom (not visible in the pictures), but its drawers are much too narrow for shirts and pullovers.
--- a kitchen towel would be useful. And some more and softer toilet paper would have been nice. Sure, you can easily buy that in the supermarktet nearby the Pantheon, which we did, but why bothering in your holidays with the question “Do I have to buy additional and better toilet paper?” ;-)
