Beschreibung

Private Casitas 4000 ft up, views of Nicoya Peninsula and the Pacific... clouds float right through the door!

Willy's Cabin is really a small guest house -beautifully built and secure with full views of the surrounding mountains and the Ocean. Sit inside the living room and look out full windows, or sit on yor 500 sq ft covered porch and enjoy the breeze. Full custom kitchen and local hand made furniture... large bathtub and real hot water! With a gas range, oven and all your kitchen supplies, stay for a few weeks and relax! Private parking and free wi-fi too.

Vista Valverde covers almost 10 acres full of landscaped gardens, sitting areas and firepits, wooded forest to adventure through, small hilltop finca to pick raspberries or just read a book - swing set for kids, local coffee for mom and dad... free wifi and parking for you and your guests.

We enjoy each of our guests and try to help make your trip to the Central Highlands a memorable one - from travel arrangements to suggestions on where to go for dinner or even how to move to Costa Rica and living tips! My husband (Tico/bilingual)and I (Gringa/Spanish challenged) are almost always on the property to chat, ask a question, or to show you the book and DVD library. Or ignore us completely! its up to you.

The town fo San Ramon is mostly a tico town and not very touristy, which we love. It has everything a small city or big town should - including banks, movie theatre, tons of mom and pop shops, beautiful church and park, and it's safe. A fantastic Feria, open farm market, is here every Friday and Saturday to do all your shopping if staying with us for a while. We are also up the road from University of Costa Rica and the Museo de San Ramon. San Ramon is also close to so many of the touristy places; within one hour you can get here from the airport, go to Sarchi and see the Oxcarts, visit Grecia, Palmares, get to the Puntarenas Ferry to the Nicoya Peninsula and North Pacific, see local cloud forests and wonderful outdoor adventures (zip lines, rafting, canyoning)... in under 2 hours you can get to Arenal Volcano, Poas Volcano, the capitol of San Jose, plus so much more. Or just walk around San Ramon, see our church, eat at one of our great restaurants from Peruvian to Columbian food, and come back to Vista Valverde see a gorgeous sunset.

Taxis to town are $5, or bus stop is about 1 km down the road. Last bus is at 3:30.
SUV recommended, 4x4 not necessary but some like it for our roads.

We are eco-friendly and use only earth friendly cleaning products - and help us recycle! We are on our way to be sustainable with our little hilltop finca. Our property is very private and is truly on the mountain, so your cabin has an alarm for added security when you are out and about.

Though not convenient, the bus at the bottom of our hill goes into town every hour for about 150 colones. Taxis to town are 2500 colones with our favorite driver. Last bus is at 3:30 so take his number!

We are eco-friendly and use only earth friendly cleaning products - and help us recycle and compost! We are on our way to be sustainable with our little hilltop finca, watermelons, passion fruit, pinas and herbs. Our property is very private and is truly on the mountain top, so your cabin has an alarm for added security when you are out and about. It's a giant safety box.

Travelled around the world with mom and dad since I was little, hoping my little ones will too, starting with this move. Owned a bar for several years, love mom and pop places from breweries to craft stores. Studied as a meso-american archaeologist for several years, some post-grad work, and may be able to get to know Turrialba here in CR a little better. Looking forward to desining my own boutique hotel from the ground up (with LOTS of hubby input, of course)- wordly, comfortable, welcoming to everyone no matter who or what you are.
