Guests can come sit with us on the store porch for a spell. Ask one of our staff members to guide you through the many trails around. They are sure to take you to the best views and introduce you to many natural edibles along the way. If you are looking to explore the surrounding Tennessee areas, they will gladly direct you to one of the many nearby touring attractions.

Die Nachbarschaft

Aaah, peace and quiet. A close knit neighborhood at the foot of the mountains. Easy access to hiking and horse trails. Lot's of wild edibles if you know who to ask such as blueberries, black raspberries, nut trees, and chicory. It stays cooler up here than down in Greeneville, and we get magnificent cool winds. Sometimes when it's been raining the clouds will flow over the mountain like water. We also have our fare share of wildlife- plenty of rabbits, the occasional deer, raccoons, foxes, turkeys, killdeer, cardinals, bluebirds, hummingbirds, Canadian geese, various hawks and birds of prey, whippoorwill, doves, swifts, woodpeckers, and many more.
We also have free ranging cats, all fixed, spayed, vaccinated and friendly!

Bring your horses or mountain bikes, our trails are ready to be explored. It's a 25 minute drive into town.

Weitere wichtige Infos

There is a trail that leads to the top of the mountain to the fire tower outlook. Good for hikers or horseback riders. There is also a separate road for cars. There is also a road/trail that goes down the other side of the Mountain to the Burnett Gap area.

Der Check-in ist jederzeit nach 15:00

Horse riders must have a copy of their Coggins test. We sell beer on premises, but rowdy behavior after 10 will not be tolerated. Rooms are pet friendly, smoking is allowed on the lodge porch, but not in the rooms. Ashtrays are provided. Please treat the National forest with care. Avoid littering, straying from trails, or over-harvesting wild edibles. Be courteous to our animal brethren. Practice leave no trace habits, and don't forget you're in black bear country.

The host was nice and welcoming. Honestly, I don't think the pictures do it justice. The drive in was so beautiful and the room was fresh, clean, and comfy. We loved every minute of our stay! Oh, and there were very sweet horses ready to let us pet them, too!

Doug was a great host. My guest and I went for a hike on the trails in the morning and ended up getting lost, like 2 hours off the trails. We contacted Doug and he came and rescued us! He then allowed us to stay after check-out since we were behind on schedule. Overall it was a great spot for hiking and located in a secluded area in the mountains!

A.J. and Doug were wonderful hosts! We got in after 8 when the cafe closes, and we had no cell service to communicate. They still found us food and necessities and helped us settle in easily. It was wonderful to wake up to a pink, peaceful mountain sunrise. We enjoyed making breakfast in the common kitchen and relaxing in the hot tub after a long day. We will be back!

We loved how private and secluded the lodge is. Doug gave us a warm welcome and tour, and he showed us a great hike just off the property. Even though we were the only guests this evening, the hot tub was ready for us! We stayed up late, snacking and talking in front of the fire and had a great night sleep. Hope to be back soon!! -Rachel and Jessica

We really loved our stay here. On our way out, we wished that we'd booked it for an additional night or two. The room was really cozy and clean, had complimentary coffee and snacks, and felt nice and private. We got to pet the horses and play with the chickens. The views were incredible, and the hosts were really friendly and good for advice on the best route south! We are looking for excuses to head back again soon.

Hello, we are the Halvorsen's and we are the owners of Meadow Creek Mountain Resort! We are a family owned local small business- it took a leap of faith to undertake such a big place, but we love it. Now we want to share it with others. The ranch is run by family and friends so close we call them family. All of our employees live on the ranch. They have a great love for the land, and enjoy sharing it with our guests. We believe in community and follow "The Four Agreements".
