Ivo didn't actually meet us for this holiday, but it was the owner of the whole property which consisted of 5 studios. He picked us up from the port and took us to the accommodation. He was very polite and his wife was very lovely and welcoming. She also speaks very good English. They both live under the studio, but kept to themselves. However, we did ask them some questions and they were very helpful in answering them. The room was specious and the bed was comfy. The room has a small kitchenette and a fridge which were very useful. It also has air conditioning and we needed it as the weather was very hot. They also offer free wifi in the room. The neighbourhood itself is very nice, but there is a large hotel complex facing the balcony. It didn't bother us, we didn't feel our privacy interrupted and you still get a nice view of the port. The location is good, but you will have to walk about 10 - 15 minutes to get to the closest food shops, bars and restaurants. You can take the taxi boat which is a 1 minute walk to get to and only costs 5 Kuna per trip, which is about 70 pence. It only takes about 2 minutes to get you across so it's not a long trip. The pebbled beach is cute and there are great walks along the coast where you can find coves to swim and feel like there is no one around. The restaurants are great. We found the fish was quite expensive, but all other foods were well priced. Beer is very cheap and the pizzas were delicious!
All in all we would recommend staying here and we are already looking forward to come back one day.
