This is a lovely home nestled in the Green mountains. Beautiful views with a great restaurant ten minutes away in Ludlow. You couldn't ask for more welcoming hosts. Monique and Jim felt like old friends you wanted to visit more often. And Monique's breakfasts were delicious. We had to rouse ourselves from the breakfast table because the conversation was so enjoyable. Also went on a lovely hike to a mountain lake with the fall leaves creating a fantastic display of color. At this home, you really feel you've gone to the country.

Farm was a lot of fun. Host very knowledgeable and fun to visit with. Went to local Cider Days and community dinner which was great. Day trips were unusual and met our needs for new adventures. Fall color was incredible.

We stayed with Jim & Monique for the SPARTAN race at Killington, VT, and they were incredibly accommodating. Having driven from NYC, they waited to welcome us late at night and had delicious breakfast waiting for us each morning. They were kind and gracious, and the farm to table living is generous and delicious. They both are lovely people, as well. I would definitely stay here again -- for race or vacation!

Monique made us feel welcome immediately upon our arrival. We found her to be very gracious and accommodating. We enjoyed the quiet, rural location offering views of cows in neighboring fields. The daily breakfasts were very well prepared with the finest of organic ingredients. We especially enjoyed picking and eating the fabulous organic raspberries from her garden.

My son and I stayed with Jim and Monique over this past weekend. We were in the area for a soccer tournament and needed a home base. I appreciated their flexibility with our arrival times and the way they made us feel at home. The accommodations were great, the breakfasts were delicious (omelettes / pancakes / homemade jams & syrups) and the grounds were beautiful. Monique offered me a to-go coffee for the early game - which was very much appreciated. I would recommend this BNB and look forward to visiting again. BTW, our son's team went 4-0 in the tournament, and I suspect the pancakes contributed a part!).

What a great stay! Jim and Monique are both very kind and awesome hosts. They made us feel very relaxed, at home and welcome. Their house was very clean and tidy. Our bedroom was spacious and clean, as was our bathroom. We enjoyed the peaceful nature of the location as well as joining our hosts for a community dinner followed by a tour of the area and finished with a glass or two of work e chatting on the front porch. Breakfast was a real homemade treat, Monique sure knows how to look after her guests. Their dog was very mellow and did not come upstairs to our bedroom, nor did he jump up at us

Jim is a College professor of Biology and Sustainable Agriculture who lived in Central America for 20+ years. He is learning to bake breads, enjoys kayaking, hiking, gardening, and bird watching.
Monique was raised in Zimbabwe and spent 30 years as a travel consultant until recent retirement. She now has an internet store that sells organic gardening products. She loves cooking, flowers, reading, kayaking, doing jigsaw puzzles and is an enthusiastic board game player.
We are homesteading in Vermont and love gardening, all things nature and the theater. Having both traveled extensively we're interested in international affairs and enjoy meeting people and connecting locally. We're easy going and like to seek out healthy local foods wherever we go and enjoy a good glass of wine or beer.
