The building is an efficient passive solar design, with in-floor heat and a Jøtul wood stove for backup when needed. Large south facing windows provide warmth in the winter, deep eaves protect from direct sun in summer. Summer cooling is seldom required - due to the large overhang.

I love to explore. Mark and I have traveled through much of USA, also to Mexico, Canada, Caribbean islands, Norway, Sweden, France, Italy. Je parle le Français, un peu. Jeg snakke en liten Norsk , også.
I enjoy cooking, wine, music of all genre (except acid rock, sorry) art museums, reading, wandering about in new places. One of my favorite things to do in a new place is to visit a grocery store and wander neighborhoods.
When hosting people, I try to include them in the daily life, helping them to feel a part of things. As a traveler, I only use carry-on luggage and try to live simply.
