Grade II listed building designed by the noted Arts & Crafts architect Norman Shaw.
Tucked away in a secluded location, but only 35 miles from London.
A historically important home, converted from a 19th century schoolhouse, and situated midway between London and the coastal resort of Brighton.
The house is in a quintessential, peaceful English village in the High Weald, in a designated official Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. It is furnished with an eclectic mix of antique and modern, along with original art.
The surrounding area has many historic houses to visit, as well as having good access to the historic towns of Canterbury and Winchester. Horse riding and walking are both popular locally in Ashdown Forest (home of Winnie the Pooh!), and there are opportunities for fishing, golf, and horse-racing. Gatwick International Airport is 25 mins away.
There is one double bedroom, one twin-bedded room (with small bunk beds) and two single rooms. Two bathrooms - one with bath, and one with shower.
A car is necessary (no public transport). Only available in the school holidays and at weekends.
