Pati and Rumi's place was great! Highly recommend for anyone who wants to get a taste of true Ecuadorian living in the Quichua community. Their food was great. They were very hospitable. Staying here was a wonderful experience. We were welcomed as part of their family. There is hot water in the shower (just barely turn the knob) and there is wifi. All their animals are friendly. We brought a fan, so barking dogs and roosters didn't bother us. We would definitely stay here again.

There are no words grand enough go express how truly wonderful, warm, loving, kind amd sweet Pati and her family are. She became my home away from home - I had someone to come home to, chat with, laugh with, listen to and share with, someone to eat with and a whole new family to smile. with. Staying here was more than just good peaceful accommodation- it was a life changing cultural experience of love and friendship. Anyone who stays here will find warm loving acceptance, amazing food and a cozy home. I highly recommend to all travellers, families included since there is plenty of space and the house itself is comfortable and inviting.

What a great experience! Patricia went out of her way to teach me about the culture, how to cook the local recipes and find items like hammocks at a good price. She makes you feel like one of the family. You might want to bring earplugs if you are sensitive to noise at night, like roosters and barking dogs, especially in the month of June when the Inti Raymi celebrations are going on.

A truly lovely place with many nice cats and nicer people. The walk up the mountain on the road immediately outside the house is so nice. It was really neat to go to the gardens and Patricia was nice enough to show us the way to town and was very patient with my very bad Spanish.

Patricia is a very loving women who goes out of her way to make sure you are comfortable. She helped my boyfriend find a doctor and even took time out of day to take us to the doctor. The rooms are clean and bathroom has hot water. I recommend to anyone who wants to have a family experience to stay here.

Our stay here was fantastic! Better than we could have imagined. We are both traveled really a lot, for work and pleasure and I this is by far the best place with the best host I have had. It's been great to have such an authentic experience while feeling so welcome and comfortable. We traveled with our 1 y old baby, she had the most fun as well, learning to walk with Patricia and playing with the daughters. The meals were fantastic. Traditional, homecooked, healthy and a lot of organic veggies from their garden and chicken or meat. We always looked forward hearing Patricia say: Lista la comida! Patricia also helped us with everything, from taking care of our baby to bringing us to places for our business. The upper floor where we stayed is newly built, so is the bedroom and bathroom and it was clean. I can really recommend to anyone to stay there! You will get an authentic experience in a community with the most friendly indigenous people who live in a beautiful environment: in the mountains and in between 3 volcano's, a lot of interaction with the family, and a comfortable bed and 3 great meals a day!
