Great room for a single person or couple. The room has a good size closet, dresser, and desk. Large windows keep the room sunny, and have blinds for privacy.

The ranch-style house was built in 1952 and has a few additions/expansions. There are a few quirks, and we look forward to updating some rooms at some point. Hardwood floors are throughout most of the house.

Cozy kitchen is available for use. Wireless internet and Netflix are available. Backyard has a hammock in the shade makes a great place to relax. Family room has a wood-burning stove for the cooler days. Big windows and skylight keep the home sunny. Bathroom is shared with homeowners. A medium-sized bicycle is available for use by guests.

We enjoy meeting fellow travelers and chatting. Though we work during the weekdays, we look forward to helping guests find their way around town in the evenings and on weekends. We occasionally have dinner parties and other gatherings at the house.

The neighborhood is quiet with a public park nearby. The neighbors are nice and generally quiet. Activities and attractions are nearby and easy to travel to, including the Santa Fe Arts District, Stranahan's Whiskey Distillery, Elitch Gardens amusement park, Mile High Stadium (home of the Denver Broncos), and downtown Denver.

The guidebook portion of the listing gives a sense for location and attraction locations, and includes some of our favorite places in town.

If you book with us, the house manual attached to the listing has wifi info, phone numbers, and other info on local services.

The house is about five miles southwest (more south than west) of downtown Denver. Public transit (bus & light rail) is close. Public bus stops are about one block from our home, and connections can be made to light rail. Major roads and highways are also easy to navigate from our home, making day trips and ski days simple. We're happy to help with directions.

If you are a smoker, this is not the place for you. No smoking of any substance or use of recreational drugs on the property.

Basic breakfast (cereal, fruit, milk, juice, tea, coffee) is included. We welcome all nationalities, religions, and are GLBT friendly. Service animals are welcome. We want to make your stay as welcoming and comfortable as possible.

We have three retired racing greyhounds who love to play and interact with people. They are friendly, but they have their own room during the workday and are often content resting. Sometimes we foster a newly retired greyhound, and adjust hound space as needed.

Colorado's weather is really nice generally. Not too hot, not very humid, and city snow usually melts in a day. However, come prepared for sudden changes in temperature and precipitation, especially if you are visiting the mountains.

Nutzerprofil von Robin

A Denver native, I love the outdoor activities Colorado has to offer. I enjoy running and cycling (albeit slowly). I'm in love with my three greyhounds, and sometimes foster newly retired racing greyhounds. My husband Charles and I enjoy hosting dinner parties a few times a year and grilling in the back yard. We also enjoy visiting local museums, scrapbooking, and reading. I travel every chance I get, even for a weekend. We're non-smokers and enjoy a couple drinks occasionally. We generally keep to ourselves, but enjoy meeting people from around the world.
